First table saw, and seems to be a good 'un.
Not had it too long, and my first table saw. Nothing too desperate about putting it all together - which mostly concerns the stand and side extensions. Locating and aligning the front measurement section was easier than I thought it would be (just because it comes in two parts I thought it might be a problem). Everything seemed to be accurate and precise when checking it all after putting it together, and my first cuts were spot on in terms of width and being cut square. Bear in mind this is only after a few cuts after just a few days, but don't envisage any problems. Cuts smooth and accurately, with a nice and stable table and extensions. I've only got a very small space to operate in, so the fixed side extensions make it a bit of a problem to tuck out of the way when not in use, but that's a small oversight on my part. It is noisy (as has been mentioned), and the only thing that looks like it might be a bit suspect is the blade guard which is a tad floppy in the horizontal plane so thinking it might end up fouling the blade at some point (though could be wrong I guess). Other than that, I can't compare it to other table saws so can only say it seems well built, blade cuts smooth as anything (which seems to be most peoples major buying point for this saw) and the instructions were easy to follow for assembly and use. Overall can't really fault it to date.

Some parts are abit cheap an nasty but overall its a good saw for home use.
I dont do alot of wood work realy so this being my first saw i purchased this due to the price point over the bigger rage variant and in honesty as a home tinkerer just making little boxes and the like i find its very good. Plenty of power a good amount of adjustability in height etc. My only comments as to dislikes would be that the fence is poor in as it only locks one end its easy to move a few mill and mess a cut up. And also the mitre guide supplied is all abit here an there aswell. Other than that it appears well made and the assembly can be acheived in around 20/30 min fairly easily. Not a bad buy for the home user.

Nice table saw for the price range with a couple little issues.
I had been looking to purchase a saw table for the garage as i was often needing to cut long strips down in width so had been looking at a few options available. There were a number of option that were cheaper and a lot which were a lot more expensive. I have an evolution sliding mitre saw which i have never had any issues and has always worked well so i decided to try them again for the saw table. Something i liked was that they are a british company and if you need any help you are talking to someone in the country. When i purchased this, i was one of the first and it had only just been released, replacing the Fury 5 table. As there aren't many reviews i wanted to leave some of my thoughts and impressions. The table comes in a fairly large box. be prepared to spend an hour or two putting it all together. The legs, braces, nuts and bolts etc all come within the main body. Some were a little awkward to remove. If it is tight, turn the wheel on the front to raise the blade mechanism, this will give more space to remove the components. Just take your time, follow the instructions and shouldn't be any problems. For aligning the side metal wings, its best to retract the blade and use a flat surface. Turn the saw upside down and start fitting the wings. So long as you assemble on a level surface you should get a pretty accurate table top. The big advantage of the evolution products is the blade. If you think you may want to cut more than just wood then this is a great choice. It can cut right through wood even if it has nails in it. Will also cut plastic and softer metals like aluminium. As expected at this price range the machine has a plastic body but i haven't found this really causing any problems. Its stands stable and functions pretty well. The wheel at the front is easy to turn and allows adjusting of the blade height. You can pull the wheel out and turn it to adjust the angle of the blade so you can cut mitres. The machine comes with a plastic push stick which fits on the side of the machine body. There is also a measurement rule which is the full length of the table top. This is handy as other tables often have a rule that doesn't extend over the wings. There is an adjustable angle push which slides within the guide rail to help feed and but wood at right angles or various other angles. I tend to just use my sliding mitre saw instead of this. Its not too bad if you don't need deadly accuracy but there is a fair but of play in the guide so it not the most accurate. I had a couple issues which i will mention in case you find yourself in the same boat.... In general i think its normal to cut with the blade only half a tooth or so above the material being cut. I found though that the blade had to be much higher otherwise the material got stuck at the rear of the blade guard which wasn't clearing it. To fix this, take off the plate round the blade (power off, of course!), raise the blade to its full height for easier access, loosen the black metal blade guard (riving knife) behind the blade (which the blade guard bolts onto) and raise it up so the hole the blade guard connects to is level or slightly above the blade. Tighten and put the guard back on. This solved it for me with proper clearance. The only other issue i had was the riving knife seemed to be very slightly out of line, perhaps a mm to the left of the blade. Although this was only a fraction it can cause the material to catch. I think This won't be general and i was just unlucky as its normally set at the factory. i did have to adjust mine slightly though which i shouldn't have needed to do. Overall its a nice machine and i have already had good use from it. Hope this is helpful to some of you that are trying to decide. Plus i do like the yellow and black!

I Wish I Had Bought One Sooner
Having faffed about with a rotary saw, straight edges, clamps etc. etc. I finally decided to upgrade to a table saw. The deciding factor was having 80 sheets of hardboard to cut and I'm so glad I did. Yes, it's a little bit fiddly to assemble and does take an hour or so but it's worth the effort. Some reviews I have seen refer to plastic fasteners, but there were none on my example; there were all steel nuts and bolts. Tip - after assembly go round the machine again and check all the nuts and bolts are tight, it's easy to miss one or two and it makes a big difference to the rigidity. Getting the fence set perfectly parallel to the blade is essential to getting straight and accurate cuts; this is clearly explained in the instructions but I found YouTube tutorials easier to follow. Other reviews complain about the fence being 'wobbly', again mine isn't so makes you wonder if they had tightened it properly. Once set up as per the instructions this saw makes cutting timber a genuine pleasure, you find yourself looking round for things to cut on it. Considering the price I would recommend it without reservation. And just to be clear, I have no connection to Evolution Power Tools and I paid the full retail price.

Excellent Machine
Have used this a few times now and it is proving to be a very versatile and impressive machine. Was concerned it might be a bit of a 'toy' for the price, but definitely not. I have used it to cut 2 x 240 x 120cm ply boards into planks to make shelving for my workshop. Then used it to trim pine boards to 2cm to make edges for the shelves - made both jobs very easy. Have cut the best tenon joints I have ever managed and, along with a router table bought at the same time, have almost finished making a replacement sash window!!! Very impressed - I bought an evolution hand held circular saw a few months prior - it has the same blade and is equally impressive. Only downside - as others have noted - is the flimsy fence - fine for light work (like the pine strips) but for heavier jobs, a piece of aluminium angle and a couple of clamps sorted it out. Also light enough to be easily moved by one person - I keep in out of the way in the tool store and move it into the 'limited space' workshop as and when needed.

Buyers beaware!
This has to be one of the most disappointing purchases I have made. Read the reviews, which I don't understand can be this high and I will give details as to why. 1. Fence: Flexes so much it is very hard to get a straight cut. If you get a straight cut then be prepared to do a lot of sanding as the cut itself will be bad as the wood constantly moves if you put slight pressure on it towards the fence. The base of the fence is plastic and very small so it flexes easily. The fence is also very short and just about extends beyond the saw blade in full length. Ended up building a new fence, but that itself is not easy as the saw platform is made from thin material so anything you attach to it will move around. 2. Miter gauge: Again the fence here is very short. But more importantly, the whole miter gauge wiggles because the aluminum slider bar is way to small for the track. The only way to get it to cut straight is to press it up against one side of the track while at the same time move it forward. You might think the easy solution would be to make a new slider bar, but that is not such a straightforward option due to the form of the track. 3. Tracks: The tracks are not standard t-tracks so you can't use any standard sliders. The tracks are very narrow with a very thin inset at the top so if you create a slider with straight sides then it will just wiggle inside the track. On top of that, the tracks in my saw have some dents so they aren't even straight. 4. Bolts and nuts: Bolts and nuts to attach the stand to the saw are I believe aluminum bolts which get destroyed very easily, so be super careful when putting this together. 5. Blade: I haven't swapped out the blade to compare it to a proper wood cutting blade, but it seems to me the blade is also at fault for making rough cuts on timber. But I didn't expect it to be a great wood cutting blade so that is to be expected. This blade is made to cut everything, and as such probably doesn't cut anything really well. 6. Raising of blade: When you raise the blade it moves up in a side-to-side motion and not straight up. So you can't have it move up and make a clean cut. 7. Insert: The green insert plastic around the blade is very week and will flex if any pressure is applied to it. So if you are making a narrow cut and put some downward pressure the wood will drop down and subsequently the blade will make a bad cut. You will need to make your own insert, but even that is awkward as there is an iron under there that extends beyond the brackets the insert sits on so you need to make an indentation in the insert and come very close to the surface of the insert. The factory settings on 90° and 45° seem to be good so no adjustment was needed. The saw is also quite light, but that is to be expected with such a weak base and table. So if you are planning to make straight cuts then don't buy this saw.

Great for DIY will cut different matterial easily
Assembly took a little while, once up and running its quite loud, I wear ear defendrs so that's not an issue, I woul suggest that you should wear them however to avoid ear damage . The machine cuts wood and metal easily very Impressive actually. The blade is obviously a compromise as it Cutts sll sorts of things . How long it will last I don't know. Its not the most accurate measuring scale on the machine, however as long as you double check measurement it does the job. I've just cut through 15 tubular steel bars 15mm thick with ease. I can recommend this item its not a Makita or Dewalt, but is very cheap and dies the job well. All Mtmy other tools are makita ( sliding mitre saw) and its not in that league at all but its 3 times cheaper and for occasional use its brilliant. I don't think it would last as a ' work a day tool' But I know that not what or who it was designed for. I'm a fussy buyer and I'm well pleased with the price and what it does.
