Clean nails thoroughly with polish remover (preferably acetone remover), this should also be done every time you apply new coats. (treat as if you were changing your nail polish). I mainly use this product because I am a habitual subconscious nail-biter. Or, at least, I was; this is no longer the case, partly thanks to this stuff. Nasty-tasting chemicals didn't work for me!The treatment certainly does what it claims to do. My nails have definitely become much stronger after using this treatment. My nails were quite weak at the tips; they are now pretty strong, and if I do happen to put my nails in my mouth, I don't actually bite them any more. I probably still could if I tried, but I have no real desire to bite my nails; it's just a bad habit. Because my nails are stronger, that serves to me as a reminder of what I am doing, and has helped me break the habit.You do end up with shiny nails, as if coated by a clear varnish. I don't view this as a problem. I used to get the occasional manicure done, and at the end of the session, my nails would be coated with nail hardener. In fact, I think of it as something a male millionaire might have done to his hands regularly. Nobody I have spoken to has even said they noticed unless I have pointed it out to them.I have tried a few brands of nail hardener, and none in my experience has quite the same longevity as this one; it lasts quite a time before it starts to flake. This is a good thing, because the bottle itself, and the quantity supplied, are actually quite small.Once you get towards the end of the bottle, it becomes quite difficult to apply, presumably because not much of the treatment is getting on the applicator brush. I suppose that would be the case with all products of this type.The treatment is pink in colour when it is in the bottle, but it is clear when it is applied to your nails, so the colour is not anything to worry about for men.I have purchased two bottles at the time of writing. I have tried other brands of nail hardener including the popular matt envy treatment from another manufacturer, but none has really worked quite as well as this; the treatments usually flaked off my nails far more quickly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Really works! I tried so many different products but quickly got discouraged and stop using them, with this one I really stuck with it as so many people said it works! With this (same as a lot of people) I noticed a difference after about 2 weeks.My nails were very thin and soft due to wearing gel. When I bought this product I took the gel of and cut my nails really short. My plan was to try to grow my nails without gel on just by using magic nail and colour nail vanish (as I like to have my nails painted). This wasn’t really the case as magic nail doesn’t really stay on nails, it would peel off the next day which meant colour would come of with it. I decided to just stick to magic nail and ditch the colour as had to redo it more often than advised every 3 days. My nails were still not getting any longer because I’d be filing them all the time so after 5 weeks I put gel on them but still kept putting nail magic on near cuticles and once my nail got longer i’d put nail magic underneath them.I took gel of last night after 17 days of wear and normally my nails would be bendy and thin. That’s not a case now! I don’t feel like I need to put gel on them straightaway just to keep them long. This hardener really works! I 100% recommend it!Update: i now have had magic nail on for 3 days with a colour vanish on top and I am amazed there are no chips whatsoever!
