Will this work for my 16'x32' Intex pool? The description says it will, but one person said the pole is only 12' max.

We use it for our 32 x 16 and it’s sags in the middle and the clips are useless they lasted five weeks before they busted off we contacted in text three times and they’re not standing by their product so we had to spend $30 to buy new clips incredibly frustrating

how wide do the clamps for the sidewall open?

My pool is 12 feet wide and it fits no problem I believe it goes up to 16 ft wide
