While it was pricey, I needed a tapener that I could easy stick through many types of fences and save a lot of time doing it and this was by far the easiest one to do such. I have used many of the cheaper ones but they were always a struggle to use through fences as the top part of the tapener is frequently too wide so I would often have to manually tie the tapes when I was using the cheaper ones, this one is so thin that it easy to staple the tape and plant to the fences. It saves so much time, and because I have so many plants, It really adds up to a lot of time saved that I had to spend when I was using those cheaper ones. I've also had many issues with the cheaper tapeners like the tape not alightning perfectly when it staples and the tape barely holding on with one edge of a staple, to tape or staples jamming. I have never had that issue with this one. On top of that this tapener is so much easier to add new tape and staples compared to the other tapeners that I have tried. In terms of build quality, this tapener feels professional grade. I am very happy I bought this as the time saved by far makes up for it.

I ordered one of these tools for our vineyard in hopes it would be an upgrade from our current ones, and I was not let down! I even bought another two. It doesn’t take much pressure to have the machine pick up the tape, or staple (I have a history of carpal tunnel/tendonitis, so this is a huge benefit to me) They’ve also updated the ‘fill’ mechanism a bit for the staples, so it stays attached and no longer have to worry about dropping it in the tall grass to try any find. I work on 15 acres, and while I was late in ordering and only got to use these tools on a couple of those acres, I’m hopeful to get a number of seasons out of them.
