Easy to install, and has lasted a long time. I bought two of these--the large one and the medium one, for both of my grills--about two years ago after the original ones wore out in my Weber(s). They were super easy to install, and work just like the old ones. We grill a lot, and they have lasted and given super service.

Give your charcoal grill the love and attention it needs! For cheap. Be able to give it the intake air it needs or that you want to provide to maintain your charcoal temperature where you want. You want a lower temperature or your charcoal to last longer and you've already adjusted your exhaust dampers on top? Pinch back on your intake dampers as a back up method! This device also helps clear out the spent ash from the bottom of your grill. I've had the old standard Weber 18" charcoal grill for several years now. It has always been stored outdoors without a cover, I do try to keep it under the eaves of my roof to avoid direct rainfall. Even still I was having issues with my intake dampers. With the ashes and moisture, about 6 months ago my intake dampers locked up. When I would try to move the lever back and forth to clear the ashes, they didn't budge. In fact, it was so rusted up it had seized and I was bending the handle trying to break them free. I thought what are the chances Amazon would have these. And if they did, no way was it going to fit right. Amazon had them and they fit perfectly. It was a slight hassle getting the old one out as it had pretty much welded itself together. With a hammer and a punch, I was able to move the retaining pin enough to free it up and remove it. I was then able to install the new one in under 5 minutes. It moves back and forth like a dream, brand new. I do work with tools, work on my own vehicles, etc. but this process should be relatively easy for the average do-it-yourselfer. I will say the instructions could be better but I think we all kind of know what to expect with directions. So for $18 I was able to replace my intake dampers/cleaning device thingy thus extending the life of my $120 Weber grill by probably another 10 years. Definitely worth the price.

Our Weber Kettle was in great shape except for the mechanism that allows you to open or close the vents underneath. That had rusted away at our home near the ocean. This replacement product fit perfectly and was easy to install. Seems very sturdy. Great value compared to the Weber-branded version.

the older handle was still functional, although after years of use had developed rust and needed a bit of torque to break up the rust to allow for rotation and removal of the handle and the mounting hardware. the replacement was necessary due to the fins/blades were broken near the center of rotation. the installation of the replacement is easy, hoping this will last as long as the original. replacement seems a bit large even though this was specified for the 18 inch weber, roughly the blades ~17.8cm (7") radius and the holes in the weber have a 10.1cm (4") radius, almost twice as large but still works

Lasted almost two years. For comparison the original lasted 8 years. Gonna look for a different brand that may have more durable metal.

Este es un producto que se adapto muy bien a mi weber máster touch de 22", aun que las instrucciones e instalación no están mal son algo simples, pero una vez instalados queda muy bien aun que yo e decidido mantener el palo qué sobresale para controlarlo con el original solo por su estética.
