Bucking the traditional wisdom and traditional combination, Katie stepped to the 42t cyclocross outer ring to increase overall speed and ratio availability.  This combination is now available to you. These rings include the WickWerks shifting advantage in the form of high-performance chainrings made with BRIDGE technology to shift faster, shift more dependably, and (most important in ‘cross) shift even when conditions get nasty. This is the best shifting capability currently available – and miles ahead of the traditional shift pins typically used. These ramps create the big hands needed to grab the chain and lift it NOW. And notice, many ramps, not just a couple, that allow you to shift when you’re ready, even in the slog of a tough cyclocross race. Cyclocross 42/34 ring combination is available here to fit the standard compact 110mm BCD, 5-bolt road cranks. The rings are compatible with 9, 10, and 11 speed, and they replace all the standard brands.

as good as chainrings get.note with the 42 and 34, downshifting from big to small rings can create a small delay before the chain 'catches' IF and only if youre in first through fifth highest/fastest cogs on the cassette.
