USGI ACU Entrenching E-Tool Carrier Pouch

I got the Entrenching Tool Cover made by Specialty Defense - sourced from McGuire Army & Navy. I could not tell if it was surplus or new because it was in excellent condition. I also cannot testify about product from alternate sources to Amazon. You can tell the fabric has that slight stiffness from the specification water-resistant coating. There was no discernable odor to the cover. The stitching was perfect; the MOLLE webbing was in perfect condition as were the snaps and front buckle and its webbing. The ribbon cording around the case top was in perfect clean condition (with that distinctive shine), and the water hole grommet at the bottom was also in excellent order without wear or tear. Obviously, your product might vary from mine on any of these conditions, but I am very pleased with the purchase quality, condition, and price. It is a standard military issue cover, but I am using it on a consumer Taiwan-made "American Family Camping" folding shovel that I got at a thrift shop (new in its original packing). I was curious/concerned whether the cover would fit the shovel (or vice versa), and it does perfectly. There are a variety of these folding entrenching tools out in the market and some are smaller than others, often without useful measurements posted. My knock-off military shovel is 9 and 1/2 inches from tip of blade to top of handle FOLDED, and the blade is 5 and 3/4 inches across at the widest. It is 2 and 1/2 inches thick lying on the rounded blade to the top plane of the handle (as folded over the shaft and blade). The open dimensions (handle extended) are not relevant to the cover fit. This shovel fits very snugly in the case, and that is what I want - not to have the tool shifting around when carried or worn. This is about the biggest shovel/tool you are going to get into the case comfortably - but it fits perfectly. Now you can deploy the ruler or measuring tape before you buy. I bought this to put my aftermarket etool inside to keep it from rattling around underneath the backseat of my Gladiator. The quality and condition of the pouch is excellent and my aftermarket etool fits perfectly. Very nice product and very affordable.

Genuine US military issue MOLLE II E-tool pouch, in ACU universal digital camo, and in excellent condition. This thing is obviously built to last, with: -Reinforced interior sidewall to resist wear & tear from the E-tool's edges (almost as if the front and back panels were sewn to a vehicle's seatbelt) -The metal PALS strap snaps and drain hole rivet feel solid and well attached. The plastic clip for the front flap feels so sturdy that it may as well be metal also. -The PALS straps and all the outer panels feel strong and a little stiff but, not enough to be cumbersome or difficult to work with. A side note: I see where the description says the shipping weight is two pounds. Don't be mislead to think this pouch is heavy. If weighed, I would be shocked to see the scales reach even one pound, so don't fret over possible unnecessary weight on your camping/bug-out bags here. Good stuff here, people! Buy 'em up!

My inexpensive Walmart folding shovel fits perfectly! Quality and fabric seems good. Wish I’d ordered long ago. Highly recommend!

This a good price piece of gear. It seems very durable and is light weight. A standard size Etool will fit perfect inside of pouch. It’s super easy to use with just one buckle to latch and unlatch to access the tool.

I had bought the Rhino folding shovel to take with me camping. I have a MOLLE system backpack and the pouch that came with the Rhino shovel did not have MOLLE straps but only belt loops. This pouch from USGI fits my Rhino folding shovel perfectly. The USGI pouch also has extremely high quality MOLLE straps, some of the best I have seen, having owned lots of MOLLE gear. The pouch cloth is also very sturdy and looks like it will last long if not life time. Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation as mine where your folding entrenching shovel tool did not come with a MOLLE pouch and you’d like one to be able to attach to your bag, belt, vest, etc.
