You can use each side on your face until you are not comfortable (roughly 10 shaves).If you shave your head you'll get roughly 2 on each blade side totalling 4.There are other blades out there though. Bevel is good. Merkur is good. Shark is good. Each has a different feel. So even though they last different amounts of time, it doesn't mean "better". . . . . I suggest using the Beverly 20 pack and then exploring other options if needed. **Q: how many blades come in the pack?** A: There are 20 razor blades in the pack. **Q: How does this blade compare to other blade manufacturers, like Astra or Feather?** A: I've used Bevel, Feather and Astra blades in my Bevel razor. To me they were identical, and I read something on another site that suggests Feather makes the Bevel blade. I love both of them, but the Bevel blades cost less. And I have tried a lot of different brands. I am aware that every person has different skin and hair so your experience may be different, but I have been using these for years and always get a perfectly smooth shave with no irritation. And while I do use the Bevel handle and its a great compliment to the blades, I have had equal performance from all the different handles I own so I know the blades themselves are the main source of the experience.
