Alright I’m giving this 5 stars for the value not quality
If you work with cat 5 cable or whatever size on a regular basis this really isn’t for you. I used this to fix a cat 6 cable that the handyman at my complex had to cut to pass it through the window sill. My option was either call the internet provider to come fix it for $150 or buy this and I’d it myself for $10. The punch took worked great but as someone who knows quality material tools this isn’t it. I can see this breaking or something jamming with extended use. I’m keeping it in my toolbox. Definitely worth your $10 if all you’re doing is setting up some wiring for your home computer room. Definitely not meant for professional use. If you live in the states think of this as the harbor freight version of a Home Depot tool. Still I give this 5 stars for value and use it gave me. I didn’t have issues with the “blade” side but you do have to do it a few time, but be careful since you can bend/break the plastic on your terminals.

Does exactly what it's supposed to.
This punch down tool works perfectly for what it is for. As someone who's never used one of these before this purchase, there are a couple things to pay attention to. First, you need to push down harder than you think to "pop" the mechanism to punch down and cut the wires. Second, depending which way the keyed slot for this tool on the punch down is will determine which side of the terminal you should be starting the wire. With those two things in mind, it is a fantastic tool that works very well, even for a first time user.

Good enough quality with nice features
This worked as expected and allowed to punch down on connectors. It can be difficult to fully get to the stiffest click. Overall though I do appreciate the click as it makes it easier to use. It does have the ability to cut off or to just crimp. I did run into an issue however where I can no longer adjust which side is sticking out of it as the piece that allows you to flip what crimping side is sticking out has become stuck.

Great!
Coming from a person with 0 experience using one of these, after realizing I needed to make sure it was a very straight angled press, it was simple and easy to use!

All of these are about the same, just buy a cheap one like this, good deal.
OK, never used one of these but needed to replace some Cat 6 female terminals, and, this is a must for punching the 8 wires down, you could probably get by with a cheap hand held cutter, punch, but this also cuts the loose ends off the wires as you punch them down to seat them. All appear to be clones, don't spend money on an expensive one, this did the job fine.

Works great for homeowner infrequent use. Flaky handle holds together fine for the 30 punches I needed and probably for my next house too.

Works fine, does what it's supposed to do.

It's ok but very prone to jamming. Had it stuck a few times just trying to switch out took.
