I used this item about one hour per month straining liquids into a pump. Pros: - Inexpensive - Easy to fit into hose - Light weight - Decent mesh on strainer - Lasted pretty long for the price - I bought a second one to replace the first Cons: - Bottom book out of the plastic house after five years

Good product for those garden and other types of pumps to protect the incoming water or other. Works great. Tip: I did place a galvanized pipe coupling on the tubing before inserting this inlet strainer into the end. This was done to weigh the assembly down since it tended to float to top when tank was about half full.

I got this for a Ryobi 2 gallon battery powered sprayer that has a major flaw with its inlet filter. I would probably size down if I had to do it again, but I made it work, and now have a functioning sprayer - Ryobi by default has a screen size of about 2mm by 2mm that will get clogged every time, then the pump stops working - This will fit Ryobi 5/8" inlet tube (the feeder tube sucking liquid from tank), however , it is super tight, and takes some effort/lube to get it one. - It also barely fits inside the opening of the tank, but it does.
