NO TWISTING EVER AGAIN! I like this much more than the twisting method of pepper grinders that are out there. It is a nicely made product and looks nice if left out as well as functioning very well. It is well made. If you are some one with any type of hand impairment, injury, or even using prosthetics this is also an OUTSTANDING thing to have. You have much more control without having to grip and twist. You literally just move the handle back and forth. You could use one hand and your chin if needed. So handy!

Best pepper grinder ever! Ratchet design is tough, effective and so easy to use. A set (one black for pepper and one white for salt) is my favorite welcome gift for new neighbors . . . and they all love them too!

Tired of slowly grinding away on a pepper grinder and just getting a little pepper, the Sur La Table Spice Ratchet Mill Grinder will definitely fix that problem. I like fresh ground pepper but my twist grinders take forever to get any pepper out. This grinder not only grinds a lot of pepper fast, it allows you to pick the size of the grind from very fine to course. I didn't even know I needed that but use it all the time. It seems like a quality item and the lever grind is so easy to use. This would be very helpful with anyone with limited mobility in their hands that cook.

Twisting a salt or pepper grinder hurts my wrist. But these are so easy!!! Hint for filling. Put the salt or pepper on a paper towel (something pliable), make a funnel and let the salt/pepper flow into the grinder

My favorite pepper mill! It works great and easy to load. I will be buying as gifts for Christmas. Freshly ground pepper makes such a huge difference. The ratcheting motion is fun to do too.

Perfect. Satisfying. Makes the perfect sized flakes of pepper - not too big, not too small. Super easy to use and looks really cute too! A good gift for moms. Much better than any other pepper shaker I've ever had!!

We have several of these and they are the best I've found. Highly recommended. The lever back and forth is much better than the twist type and provides better leverage when grinding salt or pepper. Easy to change from course to fine and holds a good amount . We love them and gave up on all the other designs. Easy to fill as well.

Why are there not more pepper mills that use the ratchet technique? The grind can be calibrated (fine to coarse) and the ratchet movement gives a consistent result. The mill is super easy to fill and use. The pepper lovers in my house are thrilled! The price is relatively high, but so worth it. Highly recommend and would purchase again.

The product is amazing! The vendor charges $15 for shipping and it took a long time to get here. Additionally, the price tag attached displayed $25 for the spice grinder, yet they charge $70, for a total of $85, so they are making a lot of money due to the market-up. 4 stars for the product.
