Amazon Basics All Purpose Washable School Clear Liquid Glue – Great for Making Slime, 3.8 litre Bottle

They are reasonably priced and great for making slime!

I brought this glue for my daughter who appears to be running a slime factory in her bedroom. It is competitively priced, works well for slime making and makes great colours when mixed with food colouring. I have also used some of this glue for it's intended purpose and can confirm that it is very effective at sticking things together and 'glazing' crafty projects. It is quite a thin consistency, but I expect this from a PVA glue and which makes it easy to apply with a brush. Will no doubt be buying more!

It’s nice and big, but not enough activator for slime

Not used this before, so I decided to stick various bits on card to see how strong the glue is. I managed to stick a glass nugget on easily, sequins and glitter all stuck well. I even tried paper mache with success. Hopefully will last a long time.

QUILTERS!!! Absolutely fantastic for basting quilts. I bought a SOFT squeeze bottle meant for ketchup and used this clear glue instead of white washable school glue and it did an OUTSTANDING job, quilt didn’t shift one bit and although I used a good deal more than is recommended by quilting groups online and by ‘the’ video on glue basting (Stitch Obsessed) it washed out completely and absolutely BEAUTIFULLY on a 40 degree wash from a white and cream based quilt with a very thin and lightweight white percale extra wide sheeting fabric backing. Delighted. Highly recommend for this purpose!!

The value of this product is great. It is so much cheaper (and more fun) to buy a big bottle of glue like this. We love that it’s clear so that you can add glitters and bits and bobs to the slime you make with this glue. We used Elmer’s activator liquid and the process was really very simple. Decant some glue into a smaller container. Add in some good sloshes of activator, stir until it all comes together and turn out on the surface you’re working on. Then add more activator while neading the glue/slime until it’s no longer sticky! Happy children! It had no offensive smell which was nice and made a really stretchy gel like slime. Perfect to keep little one entertained during rainy winter days. I will definitely be ordering again. Will try to find a bulk size bottle of activator liquid that will work with this glue too. I have no idea if it’s any good for sticking things together yet as I primarily bought it for slime purposes :-)

It’s great for crafts or something else but the slime it produces is less than ideal but other than that 5 stars

This clear glue gallon is such a great deal! You get a huge amount for the price, and the quality is excellent. It works perfectly for crafts, and you can even make slime with it — the texture comes out great. It also lasts a long time, so you don’t have to worry about running out quickly. I’m really happy with this purchase

Achetée pour usages multiples notamment en tant que finition. Colle plutôt bien sur mon petit essai, texture relativement épaisse mais tout à fait attendu d'une colle PVA. S'applique bien au pinceau, bien que lavable pensez à rincer votre pinceau après utilisation pour ne pas l'abîmer.

Okay, I'm writing this review, but the real 5-star rating (and probably a few extra stars if she could) comes from my daughter, who is officially obsessed with this Amazon Basics clear glue. We bought this giant gallon jug specifically for slime-making, and it has been an absolute game-changer. Before, we were constantly buying those tiny bottles of clear glue, which was getting expensive and creating a lot of plastic waste. This gallon jug is a much more economical and eco-friendly option, and it's lasted us through countless slime-making sessions. The glue itself is perfect for slime. It has the right consistency – not too thick, not too runny – and it activates beautifully with our usual slime activators (borax solution and liquid starch both work great). It creates a clear, stretchy, and wonderfully "pokable" slime that my daughter spends hours playing with.
