Also know that the plug is in the middle of the lights and not on an end, so you have to plug them in and then run them two different directions from the plug to cover what you want to light up. Not your traditional lighted string lights, but super cool when they get working!! **Q: I have a 12ft Christmas tree how many boxes would you recommend?** A: Elevated…. If you have a 12 ft tree people are suggesting for you to use at least 3 600 light boxes. Another mentioned having an almost 9ft tree and there 1 600 light box only covers the front of the tree. Hope this helps **Q: How many inches of wire is there between each bulb?** A: 3 inches **Q: Will these sync to music?** A: Yes, but you’ll need additional hardware (the Twinkly Music Dongle). ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are beautiful, versatile decorative lights! *by T***R on January 3, 2025* I have been buying cheap, basically disposable, colored and white light strings for years. But when I saw these on my stepson's Xmas tree, I had to have them! His cost a small fortune just a few years ago, but these were on sale, just a bit above the cost of buying enough multiple sets to try to achieve the same effects. I bought the 400-led set (still on sale at the time of this review posting), which I found quite sufficient to light up my 7 1/2 ft. tree. I read some older negative reviews before buying - but seeing these in action (on my stepson's tree) sold me anyway...The lighted lenth is 105 ft., divided onto two strings connected by the power cord/transformer, This worked out great for me - I just put the transformer near the center of the tree and took one strand toward the top, and the other toward the bottom. You connect the lights to the app via Bluetooth first, but then switch to wifi. I found the app easy to use - and addicting to play with! The app enables you to control blink rate, led color and intensity, even lets you set up wave-like patterns which oscillate side to side or top to bottom (assuming you want that). You can also pick from a fairly bewildering assortment of pattern options, including recognizable flags and faces; to do that, you need to use your phone's camera in the app, so that it knows how you arranged the lights on the tree. For our tree, I picked a random color, slow-blinking option, which we customized for blink speed and light intensity - the slow blink setting with random color / random on-off lights results in a twinkling effect, something I was looking for.... And these are very bright - our current setup has the power level at 17%. Once you've settled on a custom lighting set-up, you can save it in the app - we saved two, one for me and one for my wife. After the lights were on the tree, the app setup and customizing our respective programs took less than 30 min. (and that included the argument about whose looked better)...I can't personally speak to reliability yet, but my stepson's have been working well for several years. These are indoor/outdoor lights, so I'm thinking of buying additional sets for some of my outdoor installations. In my opinion, these are well worth the money... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must have for Christmas!!!! *by K***. on October 16, 2024* OMG, I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Twinkly Strings 600 LED lights! These are hands down the BEST holiday lights I’ve ever used—actually, scratch that—they’re the best lights for ANY occasion, indoors or outdoors!Vibrant Colors and CustomizationFirst of all, the colors are INSANELY vibrant! With the RGB+ White feature, you get endless possibilities—literally millions of color combinations at your fingertips. The lights can be anything from warm and cozy white to bold and wild party colors. And the best part? The customization is next-level amazing. Using the Twinkly app, you can control every individual LED, creating patterns, animations, and color schemes exactly how you want. You can even map the lights to match the shape of your tree or outdoor setup. How cool is that?!Ease of UseSetting them up was a total breeze. The app is super intuitive, and connecting the lights to Wi-Fi was quick and easy. It took me no time to start playing around with all the effects and designs. I also love how you can sync them with music or even use voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant—talk about a smart home upgrade!Indoor and Outdoor VersatilityAnother HUGE plus is the versatility. Whether I want to deck out my living room or make my yard shine like a winter wonderland, these lights handle it all perfectly. They’re waterproof and durable enough to withstand the elements outside, but sleek and classy enough to use indoors for parties, holidays, or just because!Dynamic EffectsThe dynamic effects and pre-set animations are pure magic! You can make your tree twinkle like a starry night or go all out with crazy flashing patterns for a party vibe. The motion effects are so smooth and mesmerizing, I found myself just staring at them in awe. It’s like having a light show at home, and the fact that you can make your own custom animations is the cherry on top.Overall ExperienceI’m seriously in love with these lights. They’re a total game-changer for decorating, whether it’s Christmas, a birthday, or just a random Tuesday night when you want to add a bit of sparkle to your life. They’re SO much fun, endlessly customizable, and super easy to use.
