Works Great… But you’ll need layers (3 or 4 per wall / window)
If you’re expecting miracles from one or two blankets, you’ll be disappointed. These work well, but only when layered up. I ended up using four of them like a maniac, and it made a noticeable difference in muting the road noise outside my window. Each blanket is about 14 pounds, so with four, you’re hanging 56 pounds total. Definitely make sure your rod setup can handle that. Mount your brackets into the studs or window frame and you’ll be fine.

Nice
Need to air them out a little first, but worked well for my needs. Heavy duty and appear well made. Could be used for alot of things!

Quiets a Large air compressor
I have a 10x8 room with an 80 gallon air compressor that I also have to do some work in. Before the curtain it was brain splitting to have the air compressor kick on while working in there, it's done a ton to dampen the sound. Getting a bonus of blocking lights from more UV sensitive parts of the room

Caution
Not the thickest but they do the job but just conflicting caution. One says it’s washable and then fine print says it’s not washable and then it may contain cancerous material so I don’t know what’s going on here.

Heavy blanket, but suspect *UPDATE*
I don’t refute the fact that this blanket is thick and heavy and does the job, IF able to stay hanging. HOWEVER, within 5 minutes of unpacking and hanging this blanket 2 of the grommets exploded under the pressure of its own weight and the loops busted open. Really disappointing. Stay tuned. *UPDATE* After reaching out to the company on a Saturday, they responded first thing Monday morning insisting on shipping me a replacement! They even told me to keep the initial one I ordered in case I want to fix it or can still use it somehow. Received tracking info on the same day. This is customer service you can’t beat, and I’ll definitely be back!!

double layer over a French doorway.
Sure I hoped for a little more, but they work great. I get a good 9 to 12 db drop nearly across the board, as I don't expect them to do much against a 1200 watt sub. :) If your looking to quiet street noise - these are great, clearly very dark - but they knock off high frequency very very good. Great for a drummer that needs to get a little extra from bleeding out of the room. Or use them on a shower for that Bathroom vocal mix - They can get pretty warm though. ROFL.... If you got a home studio - A couple of these don't hurt to have around for all kinds of uses, & if you need a storm blanket - These are really good. A dark blue color would be nice though. :)

Sounds really great for a self-contained unit
Honestly, for a self-contained unit this thing sounds pretty darn good and I listen to records all the time I bought this for a girlfriend of mine and she was so happy with it and it does Bluetooth from your phone too so that’s like a good added bonus I dig it. I cannot speak for longevity because it hasn’t been used that much since I got it for her, but It’s pretty nice.

heavy sound curtain
I ordered this to reduce the noise from the hallway on the other side of my bedroom. While the curtain does provide a little noise absorbency - muffles sound a little, it doesnt cut the sound out that much. I have the 80x96 and folded it in half to add additional thickness. It did reduce a slight bit more than a single layer, but I will be ordering something else to add to the other side of the door
