Bought this to power my Helium Hotspot miner using the solar battery pack in the shed. Is absolutely spot on and delivers the power required no problem

Only just received the cable today, but seems great so far. As others have mentioned, if your USB C plug doesn't provide the correct voltage this cable will still output power, but at whatever voltage the plug provides. This is bad behavior. It should output the claimed voltage or nothing at all to prevent harming your devices. I'll likely buy a few more of these, as they're amazing for cable management, but I'm gonna buy an inline voltage meter to make verifying power output easier. It was also annoying that the polarity wasn't listed anywhere on the product page or even on the cable itself.

When I got the item (12V type) I plugged it into an ipad charger and measured the voltage, it only gave me 9V, I thought I had been sent the wrong item! But turns out the ipad charger does not support 12V so it was producing max 9V instead, so double check the output voltage before plugging it into an expensive device! Intuitively I would have expected it to give nothing instead the lower voltage of an incompatible charger. Otherwise, given a suitable charger, has been working great for me powering wifi router, ethernet switch, etc

Could be a great product, but I misunderstood the description. I wanted a 12V to USB C, but this does the opposite. My mistake.

Premessa: ho comprato una ciabatta smart compatibile Smartlife con 4 shuko e 3 usb PD per gestire e monitorare due PC e due monitor sulla scrivania. Problema: la vecchia ciabatta non aveva le usb ma 6 prese, per cui mi sono trovato due apparecchi (Timvision e fotocamera Sony usata come webcam) da alimentare. Soluzione: un normale cavo usb per la Sony e questo fantastico cavetto per uscire in 12v verso il decoder Timvision! Questi cavi aprono infinite possibilità per tutti quelli apparecchi -router, switch, decoder, raspberry, ecc ecc ecc- che prima erano vincolati ad un alimentatore dedicato per voltaggi diversi dal 5v e/o amperaggi superiori ad una usb standard. Il prezzo è più che giustificato per quello che offrono!

Works! Cool to know I can get 12v from my PD power sources. A PD power bank can be used to drive 12v accessories etc. neat!

I ordered this cable to connect a 12v led strip to a power bank. This led strip was came with a AC/DC transformator to wall plug, but i wanted to connect it to a power bank so i needed this cable to trigger 12 v from the power bank and support above 30 watts to give enough power to the led strip.
