The eSUN Upgraded Matte PLA Filament (Matte Mint Green) is one of the nicest filaments I’ve used for clean, professional-looking prints. The frosted, shine-free texture gives models a premium, modern finish that hides layer lines really well — perfect for decorative pieces, cosplay props, and functional parts alike. The matte mint green colour is beautiful: soft, consistent, and true to the spool without any patchiness or gloss. It prints smoothly with excellent layer adhesion, very little stringing, and no issues feeding through my printer. I used it on both direct-drive and Bowden setups, and it performed flawlessly at around 200°C with a 60°C bed. The filament diameter is consistent throughout, and the spool unwinds evenly without tangling. You also get a full 1KG (2.2 lbs) of material, vacuum-sealed with desiccant, so it arrives dry and ready to use. It’s perfect for anyone who wants a stylish, durable finish straight off the printer without post-processing. In short — reliable performance, a stunning matte aesthetic, and great value for money. I’m very satisfied with this filament. It prints consistently with a smooth matte finish and good layer adhesion. No clogging or stringing issues so far, and the diameter seems well controlled. Works perfectly for everyday prints and functional parts. Good value for the price.

This was the first reel of filament I ever used, so like many I made every mistake you can make with it... However, once I got over the initial learning curve and dialled in all the right settings for my printer, this filament worked brilliantly. It's super cheap so great for printing prototypes while you figure out how to finalise your model, but equally will print really well with finer details when you're ready. One thing I have noticed with this filament is it seems very susceptible to hygroscopy (absorbing moisture from the air). All PLA filament is vulnerable to this so it's not a problem with this specific filament, but this is the only one in the handful I now use regularly where I have seen extreme stringing and poor layer adhesion as a result, so do be extra careful to keep it dry (I keep it in the bag it came in, sealed with tape, with a silica gel pack inside - seems to be working OK). The good news is, if you do have this issue it's fairly easy to resolve with a dryer box - these are active electronic boxes you drop your filament in for a few hours and they suck all of moisture back out of it, returning to perfectly usable filament again. I purchased the eSUN box Lite for this as it was really cheap and I wasn't sure how effective it would be - I was very impressed with the results!

This filament is excellent quality – it prints smoothly with no clogging or warping, and the rainbow effect comes out beautifully across larger prints. The matte finish gives a really professional look, and it’s strong without being brittle. Perfect for display pieces and creative projects.

I've used a lot of different filament brands over the last few years, but I think you know where you are with eSUN. The quality is generally good and consistent. I appreciate how eSUN have lead with cardboard spools, something that others are starting to follow. Quality on this item seems very good, first time using proper matte finish and it does hide layer lines very well. Would recommend for someone looking for the not-obvious 3D print aesthetic. Would buy again.

Lovely colour! Took a few attempts to get it to print properly, needed hotter bed AND hotter nozzle than normal PLA and slowed the max print speed to 100mm/s (first layer I had to set to 20mm/s) but once I got that right, I successfully printed a bird next box and am very pleased with the results!

Been using this brand filament for a long while now printing the exact sale file every time and the last purchase was completely unusable. Every print failed so i reprinted using exact file but different filament and it prints fine. something has seriously gone wrong with this product. I also tried drying the filament have i have done with many filaments and it did not work, in fact ruined the filament. I also see another review on here having the same problem hence i thought i need to warn ppl that it wasn't just a one off problem, that person is having the same issue i ordered to rolls and both of them have the same issue. I now need to source a new supplier. Extremely disappointed.

Ich bin wirklich begeistert vom eSUN Filament. Die Farbe ist kräftig und gleichzeitig angenehm dezent durch die matte Oberfläche – genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Gerade für dekorative Drucke oder Modelle wirkt das Ergebnis deutlich hochwertiger als mit glänzendem PLA. Das Filament lässt sich sauber drucken. Ich hatte keine Probleme mit Verstopfungen oder ungleichmäßigem Fluss, und auch die Haftung auf dem Druckbett war einwandfrei. Die Schichten wirken gleichmäßig, und die matte Textur sorgt dafür, dass kleine Drucklinien weniger auffallen. Auch die Spulen sind ordentlich gewickelt, was ein entspanntes Drucken ohne Knoten oder Unterbrechungen ermöglicht. Insgesamt ein sehr zuverlässiges Filament, das sowohl optisch als auch technisch überzeugt. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die ein hochwertiges, mattes PLA suchen!

Works as intended

Alors, personnellement je n'ai jamais été déçu du pla mat de Esun, c'est celui que j'utilise quasi à chaque fois, plateau à 65° température de buse à 235° et impression entre 500 et 700mm/s le rendu est superbe, jamais de décollement de couches, et si en plus on utilise un plateau pei, la face est juste parfaite. J'imprime avec une sovol sv08

Also die matte Farbe Milchweiss/Schwarz ist wirklich schön getroffen, aber das wars auch schon !!! Diese Filament ist derart weich das es nicht durch den 3D Drucker gefördert werden kann, von keinen meiner Drucker. Egal was ich auch ge- bzw. an den Druckern und/oder im Slicer verändert habe. Die Föderung rutschte immer wieder durch... Von daher 1 Stern für die pünktliche Lieferung. Alle 4 Rollen gingen zurück.
