Works better than I thought it would. It is easy to use and can hold some good size drinks.

The factory cup holder broke in my 2000 Jetta. This slipped right in and is better than stock. It opens up and fits a larger range of cups than the stock one which wasn't built the same.

This cup holder fit right into the dash slot on my 2000 Jetta and works perfectly! It was as easy as simply pushing the unit into place. It probably won't hold multiple 40 oz beverages, but it will definitely do the job it was made for.

Update: Got the replacement. It’s still just as bad as the first one. The entire product line is defective. This will be going back too. This is a defective product. The metal plate along the top bends early which doesn’t allow the until to fit completely into the cup holder slot. If they’d make that adjustment this would be a 5. But, for now, it’s a 1. I asked for a replacement. If the replacement comes defective as well then I know it’s just the company not getting it right and I’ll have to spend a little more money for a better manufactured piece. (2003 Jetta TDI)

At first glance it looks really nice. Once installed however it becomes very clear that the face is bowed out leaving an EXTREMELY noticeable gap. Also, as the metal stop guides are too tall, it isn't as secure as the OEM and can be EASILY removed with a light tug. I would have to say this is likely the worst 3rd party replacement part I've ever encountered. For something so simple it has 2 things to achieve, functionality and esthetics. Functionality well... it's not broken as my original was. Esthetics, I'm seriously debating putting the original in just to not have to look at the horrible gap and wondering if it's gonna pop out from a bad bump.

Fits pretty well. My car had no cupholder. There is a spot above the radio that had a cover for where it would go. Fit pretty well but given where it is it can be shaky for a taller cup. 12 oz can does well.

The product is roughly as sturdy as the factory piece, but it is not exactly the same size. I had to trim a piece of my dash for it to slide in. To make it seat I had to apply a very excessive amount of force after modifying the clips on the sides to stick out more. With it installed there is a gap on the top and the lid jams when opening or closing. It’s as simple as the flick of a finger to open or close the lid but it doesn’t open and close with the cup holders like you would expect the factory ones to. I might purchase again but if you want quality stay away.
