I have 2 televisions in my home bar. I have my cable HDMI connected to one input and a Roku in the other. The outputs go to the 2 TVs. I can have cable on either TV with Roku on the other, or both TVs on either signal. The sound from the input is provided to the TV via the HDMI cable (the optical sound / sound extractor are not required). The only hiccup that I had was when I first connected the TVs, only one had sound. I swapped the output ports to the opposite TVs and now it works without any issues. Review: Great product. Wish I knew one thing about what resolutions it can fully support - Normally don't write reviews, but figured this would help some. This is indeed an 8K HDMI matrix. I'm able to get 4k120 on my compatible devices. However, the matrix can't do 2k (or 1440p) above 120 as well. The bandwidth is there for let's say 2k280, but the matrix is hard coded, I believe that's the word, to not go above 120 at 1440p. It's a shame, but the fact it can still do 120 is good enough for me. Also, to have the matrix recognize 1440p you need to have the EDID set to 111. I tried every other setting that would support 4k120 to be able to get 2k120, but they wouldn't recognize a 1440 signal. Everything else is great though. The matrix has a solid build quality. The remote is finicky but it works. Then I read a review that mentioned the dip switch codes in the manual! I had to adjust mine to 111 (my input and output are both in port 1) and viola! A home screen. Great compact, matrix.
