You can position the mouse tray to the left and right of the keyboard tray in addition to the pictured center. I use an ergo mouse so a small surface is fine.

I have bout a few of these to be use like in the pic. With a monitor/shelf & trackball mouse, it creates a nice little workstation out of a rack. Beware of damage. I've had to return a few due to damage & the others are acceptable. Appears to be prior to carrier. Also the side holes are smaller than the screws, so they take a little convincing to go in. I'd give it a lower rating, but I haven't found a better solution for the price.

Easy to install and works great. Its nice having different mounting options for the mouse pad, it can go on the sides or front. The mouse pad isn't super sturdy and flexes a bit during use but not a big deal for the few times that I'm physically at the system.

This mount is not designed for a 4 post rack. Also this is not truly a 1U, it actually takes up about 2U's due to the design. Due to it not fitting my 4 post rack, I had to install washers on the backside just to have it sit further out from the rack. Also, the mouse tray would not fit as it interfered with the right side railing. I had to drill screws on the opposite side that were offset so that it would fit the rack. You can see that in the photo. If you have servers sitting below the tray, you will not be able to slide them out due to the folds that bend down. You will need to remove the tray before you can slide the server out. I may end up returning this if I don't like it.

Product seems ok, but looks used, packageinh was homespun Saran Wrap looks like some mount screws are missing, possibly a return item by some other buyer. Pisses me because I bought new not reject will have to waste time and money to go buy wall mount screws and anchors, not having a happy moment with amazon purchases lately seems vendors are using cowboy to ding customers, bought one to see what it was like because I really needed six but reluctant until I saw one , product can serve purpose but will have to f with it to make it work. Not very happy customer
