WEFOO Electronic Remote Control Rat, Simulation Mouse Toy for Cat Dog Kid, Gray

I shouldn’t have let my daughter get this for Mulder the cat. It looks like a real rat. And I have a phobia of rats. It doesn’t get put away in Mulder’s toy basket at night and you can imagine seeing this. It works well with the remote. Mulder is not impressed though. He likes to carry around his little catnip mice and leave those for me to find.

I seldom complain, but this ARRIVED with the side of the bag CUT OPEN!! The mouse/rat has scuff marks, there are NO instructions, and NO batteries, which both the mouse/rat and controller requires!! Totally NOT impressed. Now, I am going to try to find batteries for this item, as my cats want to see what it is. Put new batteries into the mouse/rat, pushed the switch both ways, as it does not say on or off, and it does NOT work!! DEAD!! I will now attempt to put batteries in the remote control if I can open it to see if that will send a signal, but I doubt it. All the other toys I recently purchased for my cats work with or without the control! Th e control has a screw holding the battery lid on, so I will find a small screwdriver! Removed the screw, put in fresh batteries and does NOT work! Total WASTE of MONEY!! Do yourself a huge favor and Save your money on this one!

Very cheap tore up nose in five minutes so and larger than expected

My son adopted a kitten, kitten adopted me. Radio Shack, aka-Dio, is a Tortie with full Tortitude, now a year old. I have bought many interactive toys for Dio. Some electric/remote controlled and some not ranging up to $50. This is a very simple, inexpensive remote/interactive one, BUT, it is the absolute most loved toy by Dio. She can't get enough of it, either me using remote to make it run around, or Dio just batting it around the room. Wish I had bought it sooner. Ease of use: Simpilist remote I've ever used. Fun toy: Dio can't get enough, will play until exhausted. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I picked it because it was cheap, but it turned out better than the expensive ones previously bought. Speed: It's fast! Size: Bigger than expected, but not too big. Doesn't fit under the furniture and get stuck -- luv it!

I assumed that it was remote controlled. Well....Technically, it is. Forward and backwards, but no steering. You can make it go forward in a straight line, you cannot turn it in any direction. It only turns right when you back it up. It doesn't back straight, only backwards to the right. And it doesn't go left. So to make it go left, you have to back it up and go less than a 360° circle to make it point left and then go straight forward again. So basically, not very usable. Kinda funny as a gag gift for about 3 minutes. I'm sending it back.

Great toy for our cat. Burns up batteries too quick even on flat floors

Unfortunately it didn’t work. I bought this because I had this in a different brand and my puppy loved it!!! It broke sadly, and was no longer available / sold out, so I went with this. Maybe I received a faulty item, but it didn’t work. I even tried playing engineer lol and replacing parts with the old brands parts that worked, but it didn’t work out. Disappointed

Where to start...First of all, this gray "rat" is large! From tip of nose to end of tail, 10 inches long and pretty realistic looking. The remote control feature works well..you can move the rat forward or in reverse and either move the rat slowly or really fast. I didn't have to be close to get the remote control to work. Sometimes I was about 6 feet away and the remote feature still worked. I have 3 kitties- one was afraid of the rat, one didn't care about it and one loved it. It's a great cat toy. Kittens might be afraid of it, but if they weren't, how fun!

This works surprisingly well! The range is quite short but that's to be expected at this price range. However, the design doesn't seem to be very convincing for my cat. While she is interested in it as a moving object, I'm not sure it gives off any mouse vibes. I considered replacing the tail with string so it seems a bit more lifelike but am worried the tail is where the receiver is?! The body is also quite big, more rat-sized.

This item did not work at all after I opened the package. I tried two different sets of batteries. Plus it’s non-returnable.
