I like the idea of a foldable hat. It fits perfectly in my back pocket when I am not wearing it. It is lightweight and covers my head perfectly. However you cannot adjust the strip in the back. So depending on the size of your head it may fits ok.

In the past, I've worn baseball type caps and when you want to take them off, you're stuck holding them, setting them down (and possibly losing them) or trying to loop them on your belt (whcih looks ridiculous), so I wasn't sure how this cap would actaully fit or look when I ordered it. However, when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised that it adjusted to fit my head perfectly and looks gread. In fact, I've got a VERY large head and this fits perfect. But it'll also adjust to fit MUCH smaller heads, and still look good. When folded, it easily fits in the front pocket of my shorts or back pocket of my jeans. Zero complaints. In fact, I'm planning on purchasing a couple more for some friends.

I have a smaller head, hat size 6.75-7.5 depending on my hair. Crown size needs to always be low profile otherwise it has to cover some of my ears or be sloppy at the top of the hat to fit. Right now my hair is longer and basically a 'fro but still at the tightest/smallest it could go, I could not get it small enough and it still felt loose. I thought the band was too stretchy and I know over time it would give too much, but the stitching gave way from the band first. In hind sight maybe that's why the band always felt loose. I wanted to send it back since I've only worn it a few times before it broke but instead I sewed it to fix it and make it smaller. The folds in the brim are not too hard to get shaped once on, but nothing beats a fitted structured hat in looks. I like that the brim does not stick out too much. It is only slightly longer than the standard ball cap so it doesn't look dorky in that aspect. The kinda nylon material that makes it seem water proof does kinda bubble when wet but drys fine. It is not waterproof and would require hand washing. It does wrinkle if kept folded for long. It comes with wrinkles which maybe never will really straighten out for my small head. Still, of this kind of folding hat style it would be hard to beat.

5 years update after daily use. The only real wear is that some of the painted-on stripe has started to flake off. At year 5 I noticed a small gap between the brim and the head cap. I stitched it up and it's fine now. Still very happy with this hat. This hat fits in your pocket! Now I never lose my hat, and I can easily pack it into a suitcase. Here are some advantages of this hat: - It looks like a normal hat, for the most part. - Minimal branding, just the "FITKICKS" logo on the side and a stripe in the back - Folds up to fit into my pockets - Elastic headband allows for very tight fits in windy weather - This will resist rain, but will soak through eventually - Dries very quickly - Durable, no fading after 1 year There are some downsides: - Even though it has minimal branding, I wish the hat was just one solid color - I wish it looked even more like a regular hat. The two folding seams are noticeable. The material doesn't look like normal cotton. - The buckle to adjust the head fit used to pop out. Eventually, I figured out I had to snap it in with more force until I heard a second click. Not a big deal once I figured that out though. - I recommend trimming the excess elastic I've worn this hat every day for the last year, and it's held up. It's not perfect, but pretty close. It's my favorite hat. I've also tried out Unisex Foldable UPF 50+ Quick Dry Baseball Cap with Long Bill Portable Sun Hats, Black . It looks better but it's not my hat of choice. The folding seams are more discrete and there's no visible branding. But, the brim is slightly longer. Great for more sun protection, but it makes it look less like a regular baseball cap. The adjustment band in the back is also significantly shorter. The hat fits fine, but the band doesn't tuck into the hat as well and always falls out.

Got one as a gift and, after using it, ordered one for my wife and a second one for myself. What I really like is the for-real folding feature all allows me to put it in my Columbia PFG shirt pocket or slip it into my back pocket. It is lightweight and resists water. Good news - no button on top to irritate bald scalps. Size easily adjusts and stays in place. Good color selection, too. The logo is subtle and on side of hat. My oldest hat is a year old and has held up very well. It’s my go-to hat for rain or shine.

I think there is a reason that the only product pictures show women - it is a small hat. I am a guy with a large head and a lot of hair, and there is no way that I could get this on my head. I should have known that I couldn't wear this. Giving it three stars because it seems like a fine hat, and I wish I could use it. Will be looking into returning it.

I love this hat! I bought one in a store years ago and I use it virtually everyday. It’s light weight and folds nicely for travel. It’s adjustable so it fits many sized heads. I have a small head and it doesn’t smoosh my ears. I finally tracked this hat down on Amazon and I had to buy another one.

Great product but one size does not fit all. The adjusting strap tightens only to an approximate women's Large.
