Review: Well made but not for "soldering rookies" - These buttons are very well made and good looking. After reading several reviews that mentioned meltdowns during soldering connectors I had some doubts about the purchase. I soldered several of them to 25 gauge stranded wire connectors and had no problems. I'm pleased with the overall outcome after mounting them in a plastic box that holds the entire circuit. I will buy more of them for future projects. However, I did follow common precautions for temperature sensitive parts - pre-tin the wires, use thin solder wire with rosin, and a hot soldering iron so that the operation can be done quickly. I would say: "not for soldering rookies." The buttons are indeed made from plastic are potentially very easy to melt by a longer soldering operation.

**Q: what is the distance between the pins I need to solder? What is the gap between the pins?**
A: I don't have anything to accurately measure the gap between the pins but the gap is very close to the thickness of two pennies.

**Q: Is there a pigtail available for this?**
A: Any pre-tinned lead ( say 24 ga) will do. Don't over heat when soldering.

Size needed for hole to secure was about the size of pencil eraser. The entire product is fairly small with button slightly smaller than remote control round button (approx 1/8 inch).
