I like AcuRite Iris weather stations. Simple setup and good information.

This weather station is great! We opted for the monochromatic screen and it's very well laid out. It's easy to look and see current weather information and seems very accurate. Doesn't take long for the system to update and no issues with connectivity.

I love this! It works very well and is quite affordable. I’ve been interested in a weather station for a a while now and while researching options, I kept coming back to this one. As a beginner to this sort of thing I found it was extremely easy to setup. The temperature, wind, speed and rain gauge were all accurate right out of the box and I do appreciate how you can calibrate the rain gauge if it’s not accurate. The display is easy to read however in the dark you can’t see the blue on the screen but after a while you really don’t need that. And connectivity is amazing as well. I have it across my house and the signal is still strong throughout having to go through multiple walls and across a large yard. Over all its designed really well and would highly recommend.

Nice little basic unit, with a few extra features. Seems well engineered, manufactured and reasonably accurate. I like the outdoor humidity data, wasn't expecting that. The only downside, if one could call it that, is the wind speed info. Due to the slow refresh rate, you'll only get an accurate reading in a prolonged, steady, wind. Otherwise, the indicated wind velocity is wildly inaccurate...and on the slow side. Forget about gust readings, the unit is too slow. To be fair, however, wind speed at this price point is a nice little "extra". This unit meets expectations, for me.

I was very excited to get this because I've had other weather stations and really enjoyed them. However, I've had a lot of issues with this. One thing I cannot see anywhere where it says the dew point on the screen and that was one of the main things I wanted. The rain records doesn't work anymore and today we had a huge storm and the Weathervane stopped working so I was really curious about how strong the wind was but it wasn't even turning and it did not measure the rainfall. The other really big disappointment is the screen is so dark you cannot read it unless you're holding it right in front of your face. I've had three other accurite weather stations and love them all, but this one I do not. I'm not even sure how to go about getting help for it. Big disappointment.

I’ve used the Accurite Weather Stations for many years, now. All have functioned well. This is a replacement for the one I’ve had for over 10 years.

I'm very happy with it. It met all of my expectations. I did not go with a fancy display because that was an important to me. If you are going to look at this a lot and not want to have to pick it up, go with a nicer display. I mainly got it for wind speed. The rainfall and other features are nice. I recently bought a sailboat and want to get a feel for what 10 mph of wind feels like because I don't want to sail in much above that. I have found that wind forecasts aren't all that accurate. If you're wondering, it only updates the wind every 18 seconds. I did some tests and I'm pretty sure the update is the maximum wind over that 18 seconds. I wasn't sure if it was the instantaneous wind speed or average wind speed over that 18 seconds, but it does appear to be the maximum.

I have had one of these for maybe 10 years. I replaced parts until this last round where it was too far gone. That is already a testament to how long these will last. Now that I have another, I put the second receiver in my office, which I really like. It has some predictive qualities and I find the dew point reading especially useful. I consider a good weather station a must for prepping. I have this section to rate any of my prepper-related reviews. My rating for this is...
