Review: SO MUCH DETAIL AND POTENTIAL! - Where to start: After a summer drought of new Gundam sets here in the states, i figured I'd try the KOTOBUKIYA Hexa Gear sets and wow, I'm glad i did. Very different type of construction compared to Bandai's Gundam sets but very rewarding. Thicker plastic, hexa slots that guarantee a strong, tight fit, almost lego style in their versatility. The Impulse set i purchased has a second form of a tricycle style mecha but the animal form is so perfect that I'll never need to try the other style. They do need to be painted in spots to give a better, more realistic look but it's worth it. The only complaint I have is they need a pilot, called "governors" to really give it a proper look and those Governors are expensive and very small builds. Make sure you check what is in stock before you finalize what set you want. Final grade: A-. worth the effort

コトブキヤのヘキサギア第一弾。大きめの箱にランナーがぎっしり詰まったコトブキヤらしいキット。 目玉の六角形ジョイント等見たことのない形の部品ばかりでワクワクします。新シリーズのこの感じ、いいですね。 部品点数がかなり多い印象ですが、思いがけずサクサク作れました。同社のHMMゾイドをものすごく作りやすくした感じ。ゆっくり進めても半日もあれば完成します。かっこいいライオン的なロボが出来上がります！ 間接は大変ちょうどよい感じの保持力。それでも軸のはめ込み自体は結構固いので、テーブルのはじっこなど平らなところで押し込んでやりましょう。はまってしまえば滑らかに動きます。キーキー音がすることもないです。 このレイブレードインパルスは動物型からでかいバイクに変形します。いろいろ引っかかるので足は一旦外すの推奨ですね。 バイク形態のロック機構はほぼないのでチマチマと自分好みのスタイルを探りましょう。別売りのカバナーを乗っければもう最高です。 なかなか楽しかったので、敵？のボルトレックスも購入してみます。
