Lights Up, But Build Feels Just Average
Lights Up, But Build Feels Just Average I installed this TLBTEK backlight keyboard into my HP ProBook 455 G6, and while it works, it left me with mixed impressions. On the plus side, the backlight is functional and makes typing in dim settings much easier. The key layout matches up correctly with my laptop, and installation was straightforward once I carefully transferred the old keyboard out. Where it falls short is in the feel and build quality. The keys don’t have the same firmness or smooth response as the original HP keyboard. They feel a little looser and not as crisp when typing for long stretches. The backlighting works, but it’s not as evenly distributed across the keyboard as I’d hoped—some keys are brighter than others. If your original keyboard is completely dead or missing backlight and you just need a functional replacement, this will do the job at a budget price. But if you’re looking for the same quality and typing feel as the factory-installed keyboard, you may find yourself slightly disappointed. Bottom line: A functional replacement that lights up your laptop again, but it doesn’t quite match OEM quality in feel or finish.

Works perfect if you actually want to try to replace it
Keyboard works as it should but replacing it was a pita. The compute itself wasn't really made to be able to replace the keyboard, it seems.
