Preschool-1st grade appropriate
Great real-life photos and very basic info in big readable print. Good for a 5-6 year old.

Awesome
I love national geographic books.Sometimes the content is too much for my students.But the real life pictures is what makes the book. I also like it because I like to introduce new vocabulary to my students and national geographics, it allows me to do this.

Good introduction to Penguins
This book provided a good introduction to penguins for my preschooler - easy to read for story time and great for setting the theme to simple STEM activities. Unfortunately, being a thin paperback and not packaged with card or in an appropriate sized box, it arrived bent. Luckily it wasn’t a gift but the packaging could have been better.

Great for little ones. I used it in my first grade class to teach about nonfiction text and penguins. Very effective.

Fun add-on with a stuffed penguin
We gave this for a grandchild's birthday - the book and a stuffed penguin. It was a very well received gift, and a treasured favorite now.
