Hi there, please tap the light control button on the top of the right speaker to switch the lights. There are 6 RGB lighting modes: symphony, flowing, breathing, solid red, solid green, and solid blue.

What are the cable lengths and dimensions?

Hi there, the cable length between the two speakers is about 3.7ft and the USB cable is about 4.5ft. The dimension of the speakers are 3.23*4.21*7 inches. These pc speakers are suitable for up to two 23'' monitors. Any questions please feel free to ask.

Do i only need to use the usb for these to work or do i need both the connections?

You need to use both. The USB provides the power for it and the aux the sound
