They throw off just enough brightness and the LED is much better than the warm glow of a standard bulb. The settings are fun and they are very easy to use. The solar charge lasts for hours, I have yet to have them die while in use (more than 8+ hours at a time). Best part, the lights will turn off all on their own! If there is too much light around they dim or turn off completely.
