It isn't overtly bitter or dusty like a lot of dark chocolate items tend to be, but it isn't cloyingly chemical sweet like milk chocolate tends to be. It has a very authentically chocolate flavor with a texture that lends itself to spreading on bread much better than Nutella does. It can be a bit runny depending on the ambient temperature of the room, but that also means it can easily act as a sauce or syrup for any of your ice cream or choccy milk needs! It's a wonderful flavor and I will certainly be purchasing it again. It had hardened enough to be eaten with a spoon (no need to spread it on anything), i.e. no mess; hardened as it was, it was very, very good. Still, I will eat the Justin's product first.--------------Addendum - June 18, 2024If you put it in the refrigerator, it hardens and is no longer spreadable. Let's hope that keeps your kids (or your husband) away; obviously, a hardened spread is no longer a spread, and should be left alone.
