Google Nest Learning Thermostat - Programmable Smart Thermostat for Home - 3rd Generation Nest Thermostat - Compatible with Alexa - Stainless Steel (Renewed)

The setup was a little tedious for my phone and connecting it to the Google home. It made me first to set up the thermostat in the nest app and then connect that to my Google home. It has been completely worth it. I chose a Bill plan that makes it less expensive if I don't use the electricity between two and seven p.m. this thermostat has been great for controlling it. It has another feature where it will track whether or not I'm at home by looking at my phone and some other factors and can change the thermostat based on that. One of the nice features is the ability to control it with my Google home. Sometimes I'm sitting on the couch and will tell the Google home to set the thermostat to a certain temperature or turn on the fan to circulate the air. Additionally, I can use the Google home at my office or my phone to check on the thermostat at the house. This play has some options. I use it to display the current forecast. It's handy.

Would not have a house without a smart thermostat. The Google Nest is easy to use and install. The Nest analyses your use and sets the Eco System to save you money!

I purchased this Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd Generation) on November 10th, and while it looked great out of the box, it has already become a "dumb" thermostat. The WiFi module has completely failed. This is a known, widespread issue with the Gen 3 units (often referred to as the w5 error), rendering all the "smart" features useless. I can no longer control my HVAC from my phone or integrate it with my smart home system. Here is the most frustrating part: because this was a refurbished unit, Google/Nest refuses to offer a replacement or repair. I am essentially stuck with a faulty wall ornament. Do not buy a refurbished Nest thermostat. While the price tag is tempting, these units clearly have a high failure rate regarding their internal WiFi chips, and you will have zero recourse when it inevitably breaks. Save your money and buy new, or choose a brand with better support for their hardware.

Love these devices, second one I've purchased and they are easy to install and set up and operate. Looks pretty good on the wall and I really like to additional temp senor than can be added to another area of the home.

I bought this for the price, it was a refurb but that was the deal. It arrived in a new box, clean with all the parts. It was physically installed perfectly with no problems. However, it would not connect to the app and it took me a week to figure it out. I would scan the QR code and nothing would happen, then I would type in the 6-digit code, and still nothing. Then I did the factory reset a few times and still nothing. This is what I did to make it work on the app. 1) Install the t-stat and verify it works as a standalone t-stat. 2) DL the app and set up your account, then go to home.nest.com and log into your account. 3) On the T-stat go to settings and reset to the factory defaults. 4) On the T-stat go to settings and reset the WWN connection. You might think this redundant after the factory default reset but do it anyway. 5) After the WWN reset it will give you a seven-digit entry key, for example, 123-ABCD, Write this down or take a pic. (Note the app will only let you type in a six-digit code, so you have to go to the website to enter the longer key. 6) Go to settings and under connection put in your network and password and make sure the t-stat is connected to the internet. 7) Go to the home.nest.com website, and after you are logged in look for an “add product (PLUS)”, click it, and follow the prompts. You will get to a screen that wants the seven-digit key, type that in without the dash. 8) Then it will add the t-stat to your app for you.

I bought two of these for our building at work. Both of them did not work. I called the Nest tech support. They couldn’t fix it so they sent me two new ones to replace these two pieces of garbage. The two new ones that they sent me did not work either! Again, I shipped them back. I don’t even want them anymore at this point, but let’s see when they send two more to me if those work at all. Yep finally got 2 more that worked.

The thermostat looked like new. I wired it up as per the instructions and then I let the battery charge for about 30 minutes prior to completing the installation. It powered up perfectly and the configuration was simple and straight forward. Working great and saved a lot of money due to purchasing this reconditioned thermostat. 5 STARS!!!

Nest è sempre Nest. Il collegamento con open therm è davvero fenomenale, riesce a gestire la caldaia a condensazione senza problemi e senza particolari attivazioni (montato su Beretta). Ottimo anche per anziani, aiuta a leggere bene la temperatura e a modificarla senza troppi problemi, la possibilità di modifica manuale aiuta anche il termostato ad autoapprendere le necessità degli abitanti. Lo consiglio anche ai non "nerd".
