Nick Cave: Mercy on Me

Great product for the Nick Cave fan! Packaging was nit great, paperback in plastic bag, however it didn’t sustain any damage. Arrived in time for the birthday.

Interesting book for Nick Cave fans. References to well-known songs, blends real history of the band with fantasy and artistic interpretation.

Great graphic novel about Nick Cave's music career. It's a large book, over 300 pages. FYI, a graphic novel is similar to a comic book if you are not familiar. I added four pictures to this review.

This is a great treat for fans of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, as well as graphic novels. Richard's illustration style is extremely appropriate to the Cave-vibe, it really makes you think he's got either extensive knowledge into Cave's career, deep insight from the man himself, or an incredible imagination to put this all together. In any case, it's terrific stuff, very impressive.

I bought this as a birthday present for my friend who loves NC & comic books. He really enjoyed this!

I pray to the church of Nick Cave, and this book is a temple to me!

A well-drawn, competent biopic take on Nick Cave's career, heavily focusing on the early years (especially with the Birthday Party). Interweaves song lyrics paired with images of the song's narratives, and some magical realism elements as Nick confronts some of the characters of his songs come to life. The writing is nothing spectacular, and there's not much here of lasting significance, but it's an enjoyable read-through for Nick's fans.

Este libro es muy bueno, la historia y las ilustraciones tipo comic son geniales, cualquiera que se diga fan de Nick Cave debe tenerlo!!

Le dessin est très bon, avec une vraie personnalité de l'auteur, ce qui rehausse la qualité du texte, très "Cavien". Une vraie découverte, je conseille! (A noter qu'une traduction française a été faite en 2018 je crois, mais le texte en anglais c'est tout de même mieux, même si la VO est en allemand)...
