The Defender case is definitely well-designed with protection as it's primary asset. The buttons are precise and the charging flap is still going strong with daily use for over a year now. This case has survived waist-high drops onto concrete, hardwood and tile and never even blinked. I am now using it on my bike (with a bike mount) and I'm fairly confident that this case could handle a minor accident if it happens.
