The Bookstore Ghost (Penguin Young Readers, Level 2)

My book club group really enjoyed this book. Storyline and characters gave us much to discuss. I was most proud as we were discussing the when and where - one of the kiddos said, "Oh, I know- it takes place in the present." We made a ghost shaped book report - just delightful for the children. I hope there will be more books in the series!

I bought this book for my granddaughter. She likes fiction, just like her grandmother.

My son, who is spooked by the thought of ghosts, loved this book! It was also a gentle way to help him learn that not everything that goes bump in the night can be attributed to the supernatural.

My kids love this whole series. These books are great to read to young kids, very readable for early readers, and fun to read even when kids are older. Our favorite book in the series is Bookstore Burglar but this one is wonderful too.

My grandson loved the story. He said he wanted own a bookstore when he grew up.

とても優しく可愛い雰囲気のイラストで 絵本のように絵を眺めているだけでも楽しいです。 お化けの本とチーズと猫が好きな、ブラウンさんが本屋さんを開くことに。 しかも、お化けの本しか置いていない本屋さん。 せっかく開店したはいいけど、ネズミが出るので お客さんはビックリして、お店から逃げて行ってしまうのです… とにかく可愛らしいお話で、何度も何度も読んでしまいました。 猫柄のネクタイをしているブラウンさんぐらい猫が好きな人だったら お気に入りの１冊になるに違いありません！

6才になる娘に読み聞かせる為に購入しました。娘は、魔女やお化けなどが出てくるちょっと怖ーいお話しと本屋が大好きなので、大喜びでお話に聞き入っていました。このシリーズは、日本語訳なしで理解出来て楽しめるようなので、集めていこうと思ってます。自宅で開いている英語教室でも、読み聞かせに使う予定です。
