本書を学習するには、項目毎に問われる問題に解答しなければ、学習した事にはなりません。そのため、本書とセットで解答集「Model Answers」も購入すると良いでしょう。 生物学の項目説明は極めて簡略的で、図だけは丁寧で見やすいですが、生物学一般の知識を得るには圧倒的に情報が少ないです。初学者にはお薦めできません。 生物学を既に学習した者が復習用に使用するには良いですが、本書を一通り学習したところで得るものは少ないでしょう。やはり他の書を当たるべきかと思います。
