Between condor discord machete and tops machete 230, which one is a better choice?

Tops used 1095, which, in my opinion is better than 1075. Tops, construction, and heat treatment process of the steel is far superior in my opinion. I have several tops, knives and machetes, and they stand up much better over condor. In my honest opinion, tops machetes and knives are far superior to condor.

how do you sharped this Machete? what grit and what type of stone do you use? do you need to use oil?

I just used an accusharp. About 10-15 strokes and it was sharp. I didn't use oil to sharpen it but after using it I use hopes gun oil to prevent corrosion seeing as it is not a stainless blade.

What was this designed for?

I have used this for cutting small trees and hedges. Also works well for cutting limbs. But to answer your question not sure what it was designed for. I only know what I have used it for and it worked well for those purposes. Hope that helps.
