This stuff really works. Great biological control of mosquitos & fungus knats

We have mosquitoes...lots of mosquitoes. We have mosquitoes year around and it sucks. But, I guess that's what happens when you live on your own little forested paradise with a couple of ponds. So, I was doing some research on how to combat overwhelming mosquito populations and this was one of the methods: 1. Leave a bucket of water (or some other basin with water around). This is pretty easy...just don't empty any of the pots after the rain. 2. Drop in one of these amazing products. 3. Mosquitoes lay eggs in the water. 4. The eggs/larvae die. We have noticed a significant decrease of mosquito populations when outside in the evenings. Are there mosquitoes still? Of course there are. I can't get around in all the forests about my house and drop one of these things in every stump that holds water...but I can reduce the active breeding population that might squirt their devious spawns in flower pots or buckets. My dogs still drink from these vessels that have this dunk floating in it and they're fine, as the back of the package states that these can be used in animal troughs as well. These are well-worth the cost. Will continue to purchase these for sure!

These mosquito dunks work very well and are easy to use. I have a pond near by my house and before I used these it was filled with mosquitoes! Everywhere you walk there would be mosquitoes! If you go on a quick 5 minute walk, you’ll probably come back with 2-4 bites. But these mosquito dunks changed everything! When I first tried these I saw major changes. The mosquitoes just went away! I could finally spend more time with my family outdoor without worrying about applying anti-itch lotion on my kids. I could finally take my dog on longer walks! They are also really easy to use! All you need to do is throw one dunk into your pond (or two depending on the size of the body of water). Don’t worry about throwing them in daily, all you need to do is throw them in every month! That’s it! Overall these are great to use if you’re having mosquito problems near you house. They work really well and are easy to use!

I’m giving 3 stars because they do work. The packaging is the worst! I’ve ordered seasonally for several years and keep hoping they have changed to a better system. There is a tab in the corner that should pull open but it tears off in little pieces over entire pkg. Ugh! It takes longer to open the darn package than to spread one hundred donuts over ten flooded, weedy areas! Please!!!! Change the packaging to something convenient and easier to open!

I live on a river in central Oregon and the mosquitos can get overpowering in the heat of summer. I’ve used these pucks for several years and they really help knock down the mosquitoes. Do they eliminate all of the mosquitoes? No, not possible as a female mosquito can/will travel up to 20 miles for a blood meal and it’s not possible for me to toss out that many pucks! I toss out about 20 pucks into the tall grass/still water off the back of my property about once a week or so and am almost mosquitoe free when sitting on my back deck. The only reason I didn’t rate them 5 stars is that they use too much glue on the packaging, making them difficult to remove. Guys, just glue the perimeter of the plastic package, not all of the interior sections!!
