My scroll wheel gives me carpal tunnel so I needed an alt. Theys keys are a bit big in the center, but I love the stand it comes with. The keyboard works fantastic! The mouse... not so much.... it functions fine, but its ergonomics are more for a kid, and I don't have manly hands. So I bought the Zelotes instead. I needed a true vertical for these following reasons:-Needed a mouse that would take the strain off my tendons.- Wanted comfort.- Lots of surface area.The Perixx fails in those areas. With this mouse my wrist rests completely on the bone. Might be fine for a mousepad but I use a laptop and often use flat surfaces. Very uncomfy.My hand swallows the mouse. In the pics you can see my fingers come off the edge, which makes me have to curl my fingers to get good purchase.The other thing, is that if I dont curl my fingers, they drag on the tracking surface with adds more strain for my use.It'll make for a decent backup if my new one kicks the bucket, but I wont be using it otherwise.The other thing is that of all the gaming mice ive had, the light on this is the brighest ive ever had. It literally hurts my eyes when its reflecting off a surface. Best to keep this in mind if you are going for the mouse.The material its made of is slippery too, not grippy like the others in my photos. It feels kind of like velvet. It would suck for gaming. But it might be good for kids or more delicate hands.Get a real vertical mouse and not this 45 degree angle one if you are really in it for the comfort. Minus 1 because there are things I don't like about it.I bought the wired version.Alt Codes:I have used other keyboards with a detached number pad and the alt codes worked, although those were Bluetooth with a single USB receiver. Here, because the numeric keypad is wired separately from the keyboard, pressing alt on the main keyboard + the alt code on the keypad has no result because they are not connected. It makes sense but I didn't think about it until I had it out of the box. Perixx responded to other buyer questions explaining this. Perixx responses did not differentiate between wired and wireless models, so it seems their explanation applies to either version. Makes sense because the wireless version has separate USB receivers.Ergonomics:This keyboard lacks some of the standard features of most ergonomic keyboards. The wrist rest is hard plastic instead of cushioned. The keys are oddly spaced out and quite compact. I realize this is a compact keyboard, but I guess I thought that was just because the number pad was detached.Odds and Ends:The number pad is curiously thick and clunky looking. Like a calculator from the eighties.There is no windows key.Anyway, I am typing this review on the keyboard to try it out. Thought I might change my mind after using it for a little bit of writing. Even though I am long-winded, I haven't changed my mind.
