It would be hard not to be pleased with the Klim Talk Tabletop Microphone. I Just had to plug it into a USB port and it was ready to go. I find the On/Off switch on the base very handy. It also is great to have the Red LED showing the mic is on. As far as how the Mic works? The quality of the sound will blow you away. To finish, this Klim Talk show me allot about the company. They have hit the targets! A Product that works and sounds great, a quality made product that is also very stylish, and at a very reasonable price! Thank you Klim for thinking about consumers. I was VERY frustrated with my brand new laptop built-in microphone -- tired of leaning over my keyboard (during video meetings, the only thing others could see was the top of my head -- either that or they could not hear me at all!!). So for a very modest price I bought this microphone -- changed the entire experience! It is simple, easy to install, and works like a champ for my needs. I believe it is not for those who have high demands, perhaps such as gamers, or music mixers or audio book recording, etc. where truly exceptional quality is necessary. But for family and friends doing video meetings, it is just what the doctor ordered. Consequently I marked it only 3 stars for gaming. For "thickness" I did the same, though I have no idea what thickness is with respect to a microphone????

Due to the lovely pandemic that has been ongoing for the last few months, remote communication has been made a necessary in the interest of safety. I'm cool with that, but as a result I've needed to acquire a device that's more dedicated to sound quality than what my phone has to offer while also allowing me to retain the freedom of using my speakers instead of some cheap headset. Thankfully, this microphone ended up being a fantastic budget solution that not only sounds decent but looks appealing. It required virtually no setup as the plug-and-play works perfectly (i.e. no driver setup necessary). I first tested it out in a class that was oriented around public speaking, and my professor was both pleased with the audio levels and sound quality. I would have to say, as far as faculty goes, a communications professor's endorsement is as good as you're going to get. Subsequent testing of my voice at different audio levels in Audacity confirms that the quality is certainly good for the price range. It's not perfect, and you are likely going to hear feedback, but it would be present to the extent commonly found in cheap, poorly made microphones. Given your Internet connection isn't a mess, you will be able to communicate clearly with your friends, family, colleagues, and/or faculty. As mentioned before, it does look fairly nice out of the box, and the bottom is weighted enough to where the reasonably long cord will not pull or drag it from where you have it placed. It will mostly likely fit well on your desk and greatly compliment whatever setup you might have going. While I don't know how great the microphone will be over an extended period of time, it has provided a strong early impression. I'll update the review as necessary should any issues or points to mention arise in the future, but as it stands I am pleased with the performance and value of this product.

I just got the mic today - plugged it in to my laptop usb and it started working immediately. I did have an issue where the power button wouldn't keep the red light on (the power) and I had to hold the button down for a while to get it to start working. Now it seems to turn on and off fine. HERE is my tip - when I tested the mic via the "mic tester" site, I could hear quite a buzz in the background of my recording. I searched all over youtube to see what I could do - all of those ideas include downloading realtek software (which many of the comments said really messed up their computers) or stripping the mic wires to ground them to something..way more than I would dare try to do. What I tried, and it worked perfectly, was to plug my laptop into a power strip plug (the ones you use to ground equipment in case of lightning). Since one user had talked about grounding the wire I thought why not try a power strip - and it works great! No more buzzing! I am so happy this worked - much easier than the other ideas. I hope it helps some else!! Added later: I didn't test this, but I also stopped using an extension cord with the mic and perhaps that also was causing the buzzing...so if you're using an extension cord, try not using that first to see if that helps...then try the power strip that is grounded if you still have buzzing.

I am a streamer and an Aspiring voice actor so having a great mic is essential for me. The mic has a nice clear audio quality for the price range, and is great for if you have multiple people who you need or want to record/play with. The mic does pick up noise quite easily though so you may need to adjust levels to suit your needs, but this mic works perfectly for me, and many of my viewers said the stream has vastly improved because of the mic quality. KLIM Talk is well adjustable physically, it takes up little space and can easily be adjusted to suit your needs, if you have a small desk space this mic is the best affordable stand mic for you. It is also quite durable it can take a few falls and a bit of a beating, I wouldn't reccomend trying to destroy your mic but if your workspace has accidents this mic should still last awhile. Sound Quality 8/10 - it sometimes has noticeable background noise but isn't very intrusive, Picks up sound in a large area so if you don't want others audio in whatever you are doing you may have to adjust your mic settings on PC Design 10/10 - Love the flexible design and the easyily accessible shut off switch, Very happy that it's compact to keep space available while also having a small noticable light when on, which i constantly forget to turn my mic off so this is a great reminder to be careful what I say. Also comes with an Anti-Pop filter which is essential for my work so that was a nice bonus. Accessability 10/10 - No drivers are necessary to install so it's easy to plug into a new system and requires no additional set up. I only needed to review the product but as I fell in love with the crisp quality and how little space it takes, I will continue to use this mic for a long time. I personally reccomend this mic to anyone who is looking for a professional affordable sound.

Yeah, no. This thing pooped out after only 2 months of use. No bueno. The box - Upon opening I felt like the mic was safely packaged. Usually I never notice something like that, but I did this time. Do with that information what you will. Bubble rap - I appreciated the bubble rap. Finally the product. After a few tests and using it for a voice over audition I sent in, I found I was impressed with the sound quality for the price that it was listed at. Above, the mic boasts being beautiful so that I don't feel like a lesser human being when people see it on my desk. And yeah, this mic looks nice. I've worked with a ton of microphones for podcasts and group meetings and this one certainly feels superior to those. I found it was durable right off the bat. I opened it outside and deliberately dropped it on the ground while holding it above my head (I'm 6'2). Recording audio certainly seems up to snuff and I've had no issues with it. It's a great mic for just 20 bucks. If you're trying to start up voice over work for podcasts or youtube videos, I would suggest this one highly. ~AR

Worked ok, wasn't really suitable for kids under 10. This thing did the trick for maybe a little less than a year but started falling apart after regular use. Sound quality was good and clear at least!

So I'm always use to buying Logitech peripherals for my computer, and having used Dragon NaturallySpeaking for the last 20 years I have found that the boom microphone that sits on the desk is the best instead of wearing a silly headset or buying an expensive microphone like your recording an album with the Beatles. Logitech stopped making the noise cancellation microphone so I went looking for a new one for my laptop computer. This one exceeded my expectations because using voice recognition software the microphone is so particular but with this even if it is moved a fraction of an inch year or there it still picks up everything. It also is very sturdy and adjustable, USB connection and the input is fast. I like the mute button, not sure I'm a big fan of the red light being on when I use it but if that was the only complaint it's worth. 5/5. If you're looking for a microphone to you is at a desktop or laptop computer for dictation, you can't go wrong with this and especially for the price. It is well-built.

Update vom 08.09.2023: Ich habe das Mikro jetzt schon öfters in Meetings verwendet und jetzt verstehe ich auch die Platzierung des Kabels an der Seite. So kann man es bis an den Rand des Monitors schieben, ohne dass das Kabel stört. War also vorher schon nicht wirklich störend und jetzt kapier ich die Design-Entscheidung auch. Wirklich gutes Mikro, absolute Kauf-Empfehlung Originaltext: Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem USB Standmikrofon! Es erfüllt nicht nur meine Erwartungen, sondern übertrifft sie sogar. Prodotto di buona fattura, funziona correttamente e il materiale della base è solido, un giusto peso per tenerlo in posizione senza farlo cadere. La base è fatta con un materiale plastico molto piacevole al tatto. Il cavo USB è lungo 180 cm, comodo per posizionare il microfono dove si vuole. Unico neo, a mio avviso, l'attacco del cavo alla basetta, bisogna stare attenti a non muoverlo troppo perché si può spezzare, avrei messo l'attacco sotto la basetta come nei telefoni tanto per capirsi, per evitare rotture del cavo. Comunque sono soddisfatto, anche per il tasto di spegnimento illuminato.

Encontrar un buen micrófono, barato y con botón de silenciar es una odisea últimamente. Los portátiles vienen con uno integrado y los cascos con micro están muy de modo así que la oferta de micro como periférico no-profesional es muy reducida. En mi caso quise reemplazar un genius antiguo (sin botón de silenciar pero con grabación muy aceptable) por un micrófono que se pudiera silenciar con botón. He probado otros y nada, por este precio todos suenan metálicos, con voz de robot (sí, algunos se escuchaban bien, pero no BIEN y yo lo uso mucho así que soy muy exigente con esto). Pero bueno, me arriesgué con este por las críticas. Y es una pasada. Enchufado y en dos minutos como mucho se instala solo y empieza a funcionar. El botón de silencio está muy accesible, funciona perfectamente (cuando está silenciado no hay luz, cuando brilla roja es que está encendido) y es muy suave así que no molesta al que te esté escuchando cuando lo pulsas (no hace CLIC como otros micros). De calidad de grabación, muy muy muy buena. Supongo que no será lo mejor para grabar cosas del estilo cantando o similar pero para chat (yo lo uso varias horas todos los días por Skype) es una maravilla: se escucha muy definido, sin ruido ambiente y sin tener que subir la voz. Ya os digo, mi antiguo micro era bueno y este filtra aun más el ruido ambiente y escucha con un tono más bajo. Si buscas un micrófono que se escuche BIEN (pero bien de verdad) y que se pueda silenciar, que es lo que buscaba yo, este. Cómprate este ya (lo pillé en oferta flash por 25 euros, algo más de lo que pensaba gastarme porque el que tenía aun funcionaba, pero los merece, si lo necesitara porque el otro estuviera roto habría pagado hasta más). PD: acabo de recibirlo y probarlo. Actualizaré en unos meses a ver que tal pero tiene pinta de comportarse bien con el tiempo (además es mu bonito y mu discreto, que a veces este tipo de micros, sobre todo si son gamer, son más horteras que la leche). Si no he actualizado es que se me ha olvidado porque sigue funcionando de lujo. Actualizo 3 meses después: sigue siendo una maravilla.

I bought this in an effort to get up to speed with video conferencing at home during lockdown. I have previously bought a webcam with a microphone for my tvpc. The camera works fine but because the microphone is a metre and a half away it does not pick up my voice well. I needed a dedicated microphone that would sit nearer to me. The reviews and description sounded excellent, quality materials and quality product. The microphone lives up to it's reviews. The stand is strong and sturdy and a good weight to stay in place. It looks good, the flexible stem is excellent quality, it feels strong and moves around to get the best possible positioning for the microphone. When I tested it during my next online meeting, attendees could pick up my voice clearly. My only problem is that the lead is only 1.5 metres long. More than enough for a desktop but because I am using it for my TV it gives me just enough rope but nothing to spare. I knew this when I bought it but the reviews were so good this was the obvious choice. It lives up to it's reputation. The company has a mission statement about building high quality products at affordable prices. They seem a new start up. I was so pleased with the product and the company's ethos I found myself looking at their other products even though I did not need any. Even if my broadband is a little slow and my processor heats up during video conferencing, at least my voice sounds clear!
