Addi Click Set - Short Lace

I had some trepidation about spending so much on needles. I also was unsure about the smaller needle size as I don't have petite hands. I also don't do lace knitting - yet. Well! All I can say is I have tried many different styles, brands and materials and absolutely NOTHING is as awesome as these! It is SO much easier to knit, I can hardly believe it. They are so smooth and FAST! These make it very easy to manipulate the yarn when doing pattern stitches of any sort. They are also very comfortable in my hands. The smaller size is very easy to get used to. The cables are unbelievably flexible. The join is smooth and does not snag yarn - you can slightly feel the yarn pass over, but no slowing down or need to push it over the join. My knitting is faster and so much more pleasurable - the right tool for the job! I even ordered a lace knitting book and I just can't wait! If you are on the fence, I say go for it! You will not be sorry!

So glad I chose these! This set makes knitting smooth as butter. I knew I wanted Addi needles; the quality is unsurpassed. I have several sets of Addi fixed circular needles but wanted the versatility of the click set. I debated long and hard over the long versus short lace set and glad I settled on the short ones. I have been able to knit sleeves on a baby sweater smoothly and without a seam! Although I am older, I do not have a problem with the short needles tiring my fingers or hands at all. When you first open the beautiful case, you know you have a quality product in your hands. There is nothing chintzy about this German made set. The cords are smooth and flexible and while the first click fitting or two can be slightly difficult, if you follow the instructions it becomes easier. There is no worry about the needle becoming loosened from the cords while knitting, but you can easily switch them out when needed. I feel this set is worth the price due to the quality and that they will probably last a lifetime. My only wish is that they would provide some even smaller needles for extremely fine lace knitting. I highly recommend this set!

These are great needles; however I ordered short needles and I received long. I spoke w/Amazon and they are shipping correct ones. I will also keep these.

I am an avid knitter of 41 years. I have all three sets of interchangeable needles from Knit Picks, which I like very much. These are different. The lace tips are long and very well tapered. They glide in to stiches without any danger of spliting yarn and without an fighting o tight stiches. The cords are supple a easy to deal with. They do not tangle up. The joins are not as smooth as the screw in sets but they NEVER seperate. It is well worth the small jog that you have to deal with. The yarn does not snag on the join but it is noticable. I tried the short lace tips but they were too small for comfortable kntting. I believe they are less than 4" long. I am tall with large hands. It was a challange, so I chose the long lace tips. The case is very functional althought it could use a larger pocket to carry extra cord, needle gauge (included) and the cord tip holders with cute hearts at the ends (avaiable seperatly). I have since purchased the Addie Natura bamboo set and love them as well. I chose the lace set as I like very pointed needles. The original addi clicks have all the same qualities wit a less honed point. I highely recommend the. And as an asside. If you have not purchased an interchangable set you will find that while it is an large initial investment you spend much less on needles in the future. You can purchaes additional tips in what ever size you like. The smallest sizes 000-3 are not avaiable for interchangeables as the tips are to small to fit the joins. At tims it is hard to push the needles into place as they slip. That was solved with the $3 purcahse of rubber needle pushers (1 1/2 " disk of rubber) from you local fabric craft store. I absolutely love my Addis! Never been more thrilled! The tips of the short lace, are very nice, smooth. They're just like working with my aluminum set as far as shape of tip, but the length of the Addi needles are only 3 1/2", where my aluminum set are 4". I love the ease of the smaller needles, and the set comes with 5 SOS cords, the shortest being 16", which I really needed. The SOS cords were a surprise, they're not advertised in the ad or on the box. The reason I gave it a 4 rating is because the needles don't have labeling in the case, and the labels on the needles themselves, are very hard to see. It's a good thing they sent a needle gauge, which wasn't included in the contents list either. My favorite needles!

Avis d'apprenti tricoteur! Très bien, les aiguilles glissent superbement. J'aurais aimé que le kit descende jusqu'a 2mm. Vérifiez bien les différents set proposé par la marque, celles ci-sont un peu courtes pour moi qui début, mais je ne doute pas que je m'y ferais. Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas acheter de pointes plus fines pour des projets plus délicat. Je suis obligé de compléter avec un kit de la concurrence.

Very good product for different knitting projects. I tried them on a children's hat and a small circumference and found Addi Click Short Lace Set easy and comfortable to work with. I specifically wanted these needles because of the innovative click system. I learned about it rather late, so I already purchased KnitPro interchangeable set years ago and used it. But, the screwing system was not always working well and I have to be careful and mindful while knitting. That is the reason I decided to check addi click system and am very happy with it. The needle set is pricy but comparable to other higher quality sets and unique for its technology. I am glad it is Germain-made, I was never disappointed with Germain products. I am sick of 'made in China' cheep copies of everything.

Sono fantastici, un altro pianeta rispetto a quelli dei cinesi. Il filo è morbido e i ferri consentono.un lavoro molto scorrevole, anche quelli di misura maggiore. Subito avevo paura fossero troppo corto e scomodi da tenere in mano ma in un attimo mi sono abituata e vado velocissima. Bellissima anche la custodia, dà un senso di accurato e professionale. Attenzione solo alla caduta, se sbattono dal lato dove si agganciano al filo, rischiano di deformarsi e poi l'attacco del filo fa fatica a entrare.

I had the same problem with one needle disconnecting. I wrote the vendor and she sent me a replacement, very quickly, at no extra cost. I tried all tips with all cables to make sure it was just the one needle that had the problem and it was. Very happy quality product. Cables are perfect not ridged at all. Will buy bamboo tips next.
