These were the ideal solution to soooooo many of our new outlets with the receptacles set too far inside the drywall and no way for the regular screws to hold the face plates on. Got these and started the work of screwing them in to finally get the face plates onto all the outlets in the house. Superb functionality and super easy to install, especially with a power drill Philips head drill bit, and the quality is excellent. Their size is perfect since they are long enough even for the deepest receptacles that were impossible to get to with regular screws.

Can't beat the price on this - a whole box of 50 extended length outlet screws for a fraction of what costs at my hardware store for just 6. The extra length is helpful if you have to add mortar and tile or some sort of addition to the face of the wall. These will let you put your outlets and switches back on and still be able to reach the box in the wall. The quality is "good enough" to good - some of the threads were a bit rough on a couple, but overall, they made for an easy installation. Good value for the money!

I am putting in some new lights, light switches and receptacles in my basement. Some of the receptacles and light boxes that are situated in the walls are a bit farther back than normal. This sometimes happens with deeper / thicker sheet rock or stone or whatever you put on your wall when you are building it. That results in atypical or irregular outlet distances and measurements. The normal screws that come with a lot of wall plates, or receptacle plates are short and made for "ideal" circumstances. We all know sometimes things are not ideal. These screws are the perfect standard width for most if not all wall plate / face plate / receptacle plates that attach to the wall, BUT they are a bit longer than the normal ones. This allows you to get the job done when your situation is not standard. Good, reasonably priced pack of screws that will let you finish your projects on those instances when normal / standard screws wont do.
