I could keep this behind a door in the house if needed. Gets to be a tip over hazard if it is. **Q: I ordered this and I would like some suggestions on hardware, what size hex head bolts/nuts. I'm going with 3/4 plywood on top, thanks.** A: I countersunk relatively small Phillips head nuts and bolts that I had around the house to make the surface flat. No need to tie it down with hex head bolts since all you want to do is stop it from slipping. The weight of whatever you put on top will hold it down. **Q: Where do we install the spare washer on the sliding table top?** A: I do not understand what you mean by sliding table top. My is secured. **Q: Can i use this as a anvil stand?** A: The 500lb load version might work for you, but the non adjustable height might be an issue depending on how tall your anvil is. It's 32" tall as it is, so if your anvil is a 10-12" tall, that height would make hammering uncomfortable. If your a 6'10 It would be the perfect height, for everyone else, not so great. I have a similar stand for my 118lb custom H beam, but it's height adjustable and has a 4x4 end grain cut wood base and 2" of rubber under the wood layer to dull hammer feedback. It folds up nicely for storage, feels very sturdy, and performs exactly as I expected once assembled. My only real complaint is the assembly instructions. Several of the leg components must be installed in a specific orientation, but the instructions simply refer to part numbers without clearly explaining the direction each piece should face. I assume the parts were intended to have identification stickers or markings, but the unit I received had no labels on any of the components. As a result, I had to spend some extra time figuring out the correct orientation on my own. Once assembled, however, the bench works great. It feels very stable and durable, and I was impressed with its strength. I even stood on top of it as a test, and it easily supported the weight of a full-grown adult without any issues. Overall, this is a solid, well-built portable workbench that loses a star only because of the confusing assembly instructions.
