Bushing quality and fit were perfect. Using a 6 sided nut runner is far superior to a flat bladed screwdriver. Their orings were a pleasant surprise and enhance the fit, finish, and feel of my grips. I ordered full size and slim bushings to try different sizes of grips. I went with the slimes and returned the full-size bushings. Amazon’s partner packaged them for the return but it didn’t get to the vendor in one piece, missing 2 of the bushings. The vendor was very understanding and gave me a full refund regardless. What a top notch organization! Service and understanding like that is extremely rare these days. Buy with confidence!

I’ve always heard these were the best but didn’t wanna spend the extra cash especially when I can call Springfield armory and get new ones for free, I took a chance and am glad I did. These are awesome, I’m going to eventually outfit all my guns with challis products. 10/10 would recommend!

The true test will be when I take it to the range, but I swapped out some janky slim grip bushings on an aluminum alloy frame of a Springfield compact size for these and they fit like a glove. No issues installing with the socket size they recommend (7/32 if I remember correctly). Get their bushing removal tool for the old ones and you are set. Easier than expected.

Typical grip screw bushings have a straight slot cut across them for a flat screwdriver. These invite scratches when the driver slips out, or the bushings can get ruined in they are in too tightly and can't be easily unscrewed (you end up basically prying/twisting the thing apart with your driver). These have a nice hex-shaped external shape that fits a wrench. No worries about scratches or the bushing getting ruined, and they can be easily tightened securely. SO MUCH easier.

If you're looking at this, you probably pulled off a bushing with the grip screw and stripped it with pliers while trying to separate the two. At least, that's what I did. Fit my S&W SC1911 E-Series perfectly. Seems to be very high quality. Went on great using a 7/16 socket. The factory and aftermarket grip screws I had on hand both fit perfectly. I would order again in a heartbeat.

These are very well made and come with plenty of o rings. Combine these with some screws made from the same people, and your grips will fit securely with no wiggle. You paid the money for a good 1911, pay a little more for quality hardware.

Original grips/bushings were ‘slim’ style which I did not like. Removal of the old bushings was impossible with a screwdriver so I used a screw extractor which worked perfectly. The Challis bushings went right in with a socket wrench. If they ever need to be removed the can be.

Beautiful finish, perfect fit. Love them, will buy more of these specifically for future builds. I build several hundred guns a month as a gun smith.
