Excellent third light.
Excellent quality headlight, it fits perfectly on my truck. The old one was all broken, I hope this one lasts a long time. To make installation easier, open the headliner inside the truck cab to access the wiring harness; it takes less than 20 minutes, very easy.

SOLVED: Connector issue? Don't return until you read this.
I have a 2004 F-150. When i took off the old light housing noticed that the connector was not accessible. Even gently pulling on it. I searched a popular video share site to get help and found a great video which i cannot post here. As an over-60 woman was impressed that i could take care of making that connector more accessible. Basically you do need to access the space from inside the truck. A small pry bar to pull off the two circular plugs on the very back ceiling panel. Gently pull down to see the connector. My connector was anchored to a subframe, again using the pry bar carefully - i was able to dislodge the connector and push it outside through the hole. Connection was perfect. Reverse to replace the ceiling panel usually just pushing the plugs in by hand or tapping with a soft mallet (make sure you finish connecting first, my wire was not very long and had to hold on to it while disconnecting and connecting). As other reviewers have said, it does fit perfectly, comes with a gasket and actually looks/works like a factory install.

Great fit
Seem to be good quality, direct fit. Had to drop the rear of the interior panel to access light plug. For a 2008 ford f150!

Great aftermarket light replacement.
Super easy to install. Worked immediately. The light is bright and I have no issues with it. I am sure Ford has found a way in newer trucks to make this expensive and impossible to do on your own.

Installation was successful with some extra work, due to part incompatibilities
Part arrived quickly and perfectly and is now installed and working. There were two challenges during the install: 1. The primary connector wouldn't pull through the opening in the roof because the cable was too short, requiring removal of the headliner in the cab to get to the connector, which I didn't want to do. 2. The lamp socket on the new part was a different design from the original part. In reading the comments from others and seeing one person that had the same issues, I decided to use their solution--keep the original cable in place and cut its wires to the lamps, cut the lamp sockets off the new part, solder the new lamp sockets onto the old cable. I used open barrel crimps rather than soldering and this all worked well. Then tested, everything worked. Then fastened the new part in place with the watertight seal between the part and the roof, and all that fit perfectly. In my case the installation wasn't as straightforward as plug it in and done. I had to do some wire cutting and adapting, which wasn't especially difficult since I have the tools and knowhow. For somebody that doesn't have those tools or knowledge and time available, they would have had to seek help or send the part back.

Easy install and good part for the money.
Easy install in 20 minutes. Comes with new bulbs, bulb holders, and pigtail harness. To make install easier, remove the two christmas tree fasteners holding the rear of the headliner and access the wiring harness from under the headliner. The part itself is cheap and cheaply made. But it will serve nicely on a 20 year old truck.

Installation of 3rd light on Ford F150
Easy replacement. The only downside was getting that wiring loom loose from the plastic clip which once removed, the connector came out about 3 more inches from the frame. Light works just like the original. Very satisfied.
