Wheelock WHTB-593 Loud Bell

We own a Semi Repair Shop and needed it to be very loud to be heard over the ROAR of the engines. It works great. Bought one for our other shop also.

The phones now-a-days don't come with very loud ringers. When my husband is working in his shop he couldn't hear the phone ringing if he had a grinder, welder, or some other machine running. It doesn't help that he is also getting a little hard of hearing. We bought this ringer and are satisfied. It has a nice loud ring that he can hear over the equipment that might be operating.

This product worked well. It was very easy to install. The volume control gives it great flexibility. This unit was installed on the outside of the school building in order for the children to hear their recess bell. This unit will even 'ring' with only 20 volts AC. Naturally it is louder when 90 volts AC is available. We would purchase it again!

This bell is nice and loud for work around a couple large CNC machines and Kaeser compressors. I have the ring volume set to max since this is mounted across the shop by the panels. The included screws and RJ-11 jack made it easy to mount on a Superstrut bracket I made to hang on the wall. You will need an RJ-11 voice cable and it needs to hang vertical for best performance. I have this paired with a Grandstream HT-802 ATA on a ring group to my Polycom desk phone which I cannot hear if that rings.

I purchased this with high hopes that my 98 year old mother could finally hear the phone ring. I have this bell sitting on a wood stove (not used anymore) less that 5 feet from her and she cannot hear it. I agree for the size and cost it should 'blow your ears off' but its not that much louder than the 'elderly' phone system I have for her.

This is the second one I've purchased, the first lasted 6 or 7 years in my shop background.

Great while it worked but only lasted 3 months

It is loud. We have had several buzzers and bells in our factory. The very old one we purchased from Bell Telephone in the dinosaur age was very loud...the loudest of all...truly industrial. When it eventually broke we went through a series of units from various companies, all of which were useless and caused us to miss numerous phone-calls. But this bell you can here. It is a little odd sounding and a bit alarming, but you can really hear it, and that is the point.
