It is built like a tank and is very beautiful cosmetically, but its tone was thin and lifeless amplified or acoustic, and I was surprised at the "boxy" sounding electronics. **Q: Does this guitar has adjustable Trust Rod?** A: Yes it does. The sound is very well balanced. The lows are rich and warm and with proper technique can achieve that flemeco growl . The highs are clear and clean and if plucked have a very POP to them , for me the best part is how every note stands out , no muted tones . Intonation is spot on . Action is a little high but it is a classical. neck is nice and wide. The solid wood construction is perfect and very solid the overall fit and finish is very good . It is made in China but at a yamaha factory, tour on u tube . And not subletted out to the cheapest bidder. The quality control is better. The electronics package is Freakin awesome. Compared to the fishmans that come in most $600 and up guitars the yamaha sounds so much better, I didn't even buy this to plug in and now I can't stop I am super impressed. It also comes with a sound hole plug that wasn't listed . The built in tuner works way better than the fishmans I've tried . The neck is satin finish , witch I prefer and the body is gloss with no imperfections . The tuners and knobs are high quality and have no play . And lastly the case is sweet . It has the wider neck like a true classical guitar. The electronics are excellent. It plays very smooth. It is a very clean sounding instrument. The flamed maple is laminated; it still sounds great to me. Look at a Yamaha NCX2000FM and see what solid flamed maple will cost you. It does have a rosewood fingerboard. The sound is a little different than the normal rosewood back/sides with spurce or cedar top classical guitars. I have both by the way, NCX900FM and NCX1200R. The 900FM is a little lighter. The 1200R has deeper, booming bass. You can't go wrong with these. They are finely made instruments and you should be happy with either one. So far the favorite stings I have found for these are D'Addario EJ45LP. The action was fine out of the box on mine. They are built on the stout side and should hold up well to rough handling. This is a handsome guitar, but feels heavy/bulky compared to others I'm used to (see above). Also, though the sound can be great, I'm not able to consistently reach the quality I'm seeking...I get lots of buzzing & squeaking. I took the guitar into my luthier and he thought the guitar was generally in good shape but said that he, himself, would have trouble playing it due to the width of the fingerboard, and it's flatness.
