Light is medium brightness, I am using them for nightlights or emergency use. Not enough light for outdoor use unless you hooked them all up at once....No switch, you just plug it in. I put them on a power pack and just use it's switch to turn them on/off. I use it for an emergency light around the house, it's bright enough for me to work on something 3+ feet away or more but your mileage might vary. I can see well enough to walk around a room with it if I have been in the dark for a little bit. The neck will flex forward and back about 180 degrees and stay there, it will not twist side to side and stay there. With this output it would run a very long time on my 10,000 mah power bank, it's a trade off. It would make a nice portable nightlight for traveling or camping. Plug it into your power strip so you can see what you are doing under the furniture or anywhere you have USB ports and need a little light. Think bright nightlight. FYI - I am a fan of power banks as opposed to regular batteries for many things since you can run and recharge a variety of devices from it, anything with a USB plug. Mine have 2 ports so I could use 2 lights. I also use them to run small fans to stay cool, fan charcoal, etc. I like the $8 GAIATOP desktop USB fans I got, they will run for a couple of nights on my power bank. Low is VERY quiet and moves enough air to keep me cool. I use them at home. I GET NOTHING FROM THIS COMPANY FOR MENTIONING THEM, I AM JUST HAPPY WITH THEIR FANS. Worth the money if you need a bunch of small lights like I did. My night vision is pretty good so they are exactly what I needed. Recommended.

These small lights are great at what they do. They flex easily and are standard plug and play for usb ports. They don't have an on and off switch of any kind so you put them into a usb when you want light and remove them when you want the light off. They really like a 2.4 amp power source. The oldest usbs were 1.2 amps at 5 volts and these lights get finnicky when you try to use the low amperage. Give them a power source that's 2.4 amps or better and they really shine. I've used them on my desktop. laptop and with usb battery banks and they all work like a charm. They're also surprisingly energy efficient. I was curious about how much power they use so I connected one to a 10k milliamp power bank. I started it just before bedtime and the next morning it was still just as bright as ever. My battery bank was below 25% so my guess is they will run 8 or so hours with that kind of power. Great little product. Couldn't be more pleased with them.

These are great inexpensive led lights that O bought for illuminating my laptop keyboard. The one problem I found was that one of the eight lights actually disable my wireless mouse when it was tested. Seven of them worked fine, but the eighth would cause my mouse to freeze until I removed the light. I’m rating this product as a four given that one is unusable on my laptop which was the main reason for buying them in the first place.

Very handy lights. I use them in my car for ambient lighting, but they could be used anywhere there is a USB port. Very good price point for this many lights. They aren't terribly bright but do the job. Probably wouldn't make a good reading light.

I love these. Simple inexpensive yet bright lights. I use one in the car. One on the keyboard in my office. Anywhere you have a larger usb1 port. Great value for a set of lights. Not just one. Best design I have found. They bend easily to accommodate your lighting needs.

If you are going to use these in a well ventilated place and you don't need them to bend much, then I give them 5 stars (well, maybe 4.5, just because I don't love the overly bleached color they put out). Unfortunately, the reason I got them was because my son's keyboard tray on his desk blocks the light, making it hard for him to see the keys when he's doing his typing tests. So, I plugged 2 of these lights into the usb hub ports on the back of his keyboard, and bent them forward to light up his keys. While it works ok, there are 2 major problems: 1) They get really warm, making me concerned about keeping them in his largely enclosed keyboard tray for too long (maybe I'm paranoid about a fire hazard for no reason, but I don't like when devices get hot in cramped spaces). 2) They can't do a U-turn style bend, so we can't quite get them to be at the angle we would want... but then the ceiling of the keyboard tray mushes them down and holds them in place, so it works. The only other minor quibble is that I'd like the color of the light to be a little warmer with some yellow. Other than that, they are great! It's really easy to pop one in or out to light a space. I find that I use them under desks when I need to do some cable management on a computer. Pop it either into a spare USB port on the computer itself, or plug it into a usb port on a nearby surge protector, and now you can see that much more easily while dealing with the cables.

Laptop light, works great with Power strips with USB outlets to give lighting in dark rooms. Flexable and twistable. You will find lots of places that can use this.

Provides a good amount of light. Just attach to a computer or power bank via Usb ports. It is small and is flexible just bend to the angle you like. Works well just plug in and it comes on, note: some power banks have to be turned on for it to work. Build quality is good for the price.

These are very handy and have several uses. I originally bought them because I wanted to light up the dash switches on my UTV at night and one of them works perfectly for that. I also recently went camping and used one plugged into a battery charger with usb ports on it. It was plugged in all night, gave me the perfect amount of light in the tent and they only use 1 watt of electricity so they barely touched the amount of power in the battery bank. My wife has one plugged into the dash on her car which lights up the centre console at night. I'm sure I will find other uses for them as well. You can bend them into different shapes to control the light direction. They seem pretty sturdy for what they are.
