Works as advertised.
Very easy to use despite what some reviews say. Just point it towards the sun until you see the concentrated beam of light. I was able to ignite some paper in seconds on a day when the sun was not very strong. Obviously won't work if it's overcast 🤷. Maybe wear sunglasses because the beam is super bright.

Needs to be hot out
I tried this one hot summer evening and it worked first try. Then the next day about mid day I could not get it to light anything. I don’t think the weather was hot enough.

I bought it as a joke.
I figured it was just a gimmick that would rarely work if ever. When it showed up and it was so small/ cheap feeling, I knew it would never work. So I lit a cigarette and went outside with another, in the device as instructed and set it on the ground in the sun. Within a second smoke poured out from the tip of the cigarette. I removed it and put it out. Then repeatedly put it in and watched smoke instantly pour from the tip of the cigarette. So I finished smoking my cigarette and then tried a stick. It took a few seconds but it too began to smoke. While it was not enough to get a fire going with just a stick, I think if I had used a cloth or bark material it would have been able to actually catch fire. So potentially this could be used in a life saving situation

Disappointed
My son is 8 years old, and we often go camping. He’s very interested in science experiments and was convinced that this method could start a fire. However, after trying many times, it never worked. It feels like a waste of money!

works perfectly
I really didn't think this thing would work...I mean why would it? It's cheap and it's a crazy idea. But it actually works. Easy too. I put it together, grabbed a dry oak leaf off of my porch, rolled it up and stuck it in the holder. It took a little 'aiming' to get the light on the leaf (just like a magnifying glass) but when it hit the leaf just right, it started smoking in about 3 seconds

It *might* light a cigarette, but not much else.
I have seen similar products in the past, but I thought I'd give this a try. In full sun I was unable to light toilet paper placed in the cigarette holder. It *might* light a cigarette, I don't smoke.

No tan mal pero encandila
Funciona no al momento pero funciona... Recomendación usar lentes de sol para poder guiar la luz al objetivo pues encandila y no creo que sea muy saludable para la vista.

It works!
Getting the combustible material the correct distance from the mirror is key. The wire holder is just a little bit too long. That can be easily fixed, or like I did, you can push the material deeper into the holder so that it is coming out the bottom. That will not work for cigarettes, but that is not what I bought it for. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the price of $16 is a bit high. I could see this product showing up in the dollar stores for $3-$4. At that price I would buy all my friends and family one.

Nope
I kept mine only because it would be harder to return then it was worth. Tried it on a sunny day and it won't light anything. Lots of smoke sometimes, never a flame, and that was a sunny day. Save your money.
