Bought for u8 baseball team to take BP and get them ready for their first experience hitting pitched balls. The speed control is great for being able to dial it in to what they can manage and the addition of the matching heater cage has made it so that I can get all 11 of my players 24+ swings in a 45min session. My only complaint is the auto feeder works well with the dimpled balls but jams sometimes with the heater brand baseballs.

For the price point, this is a good machine. We have put appx 2000-2500 balls thru the machine in 16 months, and I just ordered a replacement tire as the original tire is showing wear to the point I think it will pop soon. I want to have one on hand to prevent downtime. Kids have been loving this, esp age 7-10. Must use the yellow dimpled balls. Baseballs don't do well in this machine, and I believe it wears out / damages both the baseball and the tire inside the machine. People commenting on vibration / noise need to make sure the tire is inflated to 40psi. The sticker on the machine says "20-22psi", and I called the company to confirm this sticker is INCORRECT, please note that. I noticed louder noise / vibration and checked the tire, it was low. I added air up to 38 or so psi and noise went away. You do have to adjust the machine when using on dirt- the kick from the pitch moves the machine in dirt slightly, and the pitches are affected in this way. You also have to make slight adjustments throughout the session, on height/ trajectory, etc. Not rocket science. I have noticed much more consistent pitches when we use the machine on grass vs dirt. the autofeeder is inconsistent, so I do not use it. Overall, I recommend this machine for age 7-10 kids, they have tons of fun. Used it for Little League coach pitch team batting practice, every kid loved it. Update: the replacement tire I received is solid rubber, not a tube tire like the little bike tire it came with. I like this solid rubber tire way better, it is more consistent and we don't have to worry about topping it off with air. Very satisfied with the pitching machine, we gotta be over 3500 pitches thrown with it now.
