I knew this when I ordered, it isn't super secure and can easily be pulled out of the wall. I wish it looked more like most outlets. That said I don't think a thief rushing through my house while my alarm is going off is going to notice an outlet that is a bit different and think, "Hey let me pull on it and see if it is a safe." I certainly won't put anything critical in there but it is nice to stash a little cash and a backup code for my email account. Overall it works as advertised. So as long as you are not expecting Fort Knox level security and know it is just to hide away some less valuable items it will work for you. Edit: I went to the hardware store and spent $2 on an outlet and gang plate that matches my other outlets.
