Amazing Blender!
First thing first, this is my very first "high end" blender. I've only ever had walmart blenders before. I have zero experience using a high end blender and have nothing to compare it to except cheap blenders. This blender is incredible! The biggest reason I got this blender was because I make homemade laundry soap that I've taken to calling "Blender Slayer Soap" because it burns up the motor on cheap blenders every 6 months or so. I also have a smoothie for breakfast most mornings and it's always a struggle to get them smooth and chunk free. So how does it work on soap? I ordered this blender when mine died in the middle of a batch of soap. It arrived very quick and I was amazed how easily it handled my soap. I just dumped it in and my soap was whipped in seconds, incredible! The only downside is I can't put the blade on a mason jar but it's a small price to pay for a blender that won't be burned up by my soap. What about smoothies? It also makes the most amazing smoothies! I put in frozen fruit, oats, chia seeds and whatever else I'm adding and use the smoothie button. Once i figured out the ratio of solids to liquids, I no longer have to touch it. Just push the button and have a perfect smoothie. Uses I've used this thing on so much just to see how it does. It grinds coffee better than my coffee grinder. It makes the most amazing restaurant style salsa and if you do small batches and pulse carefully, it also makes good chunky salsa but the food processor was easier. Sauces and gravies are a breeze. I hope to try soups and hummus soon. Cleaning and Ease of Use It's very easy to clean, just add soap and water, run the clean cycle, then rinse, so easy. I did put it in the dishwasher after putting jalapenos in it just so I wouldn't accidentally have a nasty spicy smoothie. It's fairly easy to use but because it's so basic but powerful it can be a lot of trial and error in the beginning to figure out which settings are the best to use for each thing you make. Other than that it's quite simple. Final Thoughts I would highly recommend this blender! It has totally changed how I think about blenders. I always thought of them as a necessary evil because the do a job you need done but with so much work and frustration. Now I love using the blender because it's so easy.

YOU WANT THIS WITH THE WILDSIDE JAR!!
This is my second Blentec. I chose it over Vitamix (also a great blender) because the blades in the latter are too sharp for me. I did not want the Wildside jar as it was another $50, but it was the only option in the White. It's even better than my first Blentec, which lasted 12 years of heavy use!! It's quieter, and the larger jar makes everything soooo much easier. PLUS, while this was an expensive item for me (I'm a retiree), the monthly payment option WITH NO INTEREST sealed the deal for me. You won't be sorry - and the company warranties them for 12 years, highly unusual for a small kitchen appliance. And it was designed, developed, and is still made right here in the USA!

A smoothie lover’s blender
This is my very first “premium” blender.. I’ve now made 13 smoothies (more on this count later) and feel I can give a fair and thoughtful review. What I love: -Blades: They are not pointed or sharp so I never have to worry about cutting my fingers/hand cleaning and drying the jar. - Powerful motor: Makes quick work of frozen fruit. -Jar design: This Wildside jar is a great shape for allowing the contents to blend thoroughly and completely. The best test was the chocolate peanut butter smoothie I made. It had protein power, PB powder, cocoa powder, collagen powder and cinnamon (that’s a lot of powder!) along with a frozen banana and almond milk and the powder blended completely and was fully integrated into the smoothie in no time. No clumps or powder stuck to the sides of the jar. - I can press the smoothie or self-clean buttons and, while it blends, I can be cleaning up the countertop and putting things away. -Self-Clean button: 1 cup of water and drop of dish soap get the entire jar cleaned out beautifully. The motor drives the liquid up to the top and all the sides. Works great. What I am less enthusiastic about: -Loud: This blender is louder than I’d like! That said, it does such a great job blending, I have no regrets with this purchase. What’s meaningless to me: -The counter that keeps track of how many times I’ve used the blender. The counter ticks up every time you blend or clean. Some might find this helpful but I couldn’t care less. - The included spatula: I don’t use it. I prefer the ones I already own but some may really like the convenience of having it. I bought this blender solely to make daily smoothies and it’s been powerful and reliable with the 5 different smoothie recipes I use. If you want to use it for cocktails, soup blending, nut butters and other tasks, you may want to splurge and upgrade to a model with more built-in preset buttons but this blender perfectly suits my needs.

Blendy Blend to Your Health
I started making my own almond milk, but the old bullet was a drag (size restriction). Now this Blendtec is used daily to make green smoothies and makes very short work of making almond milk. The only drawback is that with the big jar one cannot blend small quantities. I still have the bullet, so that fixes that problem until a later date when I will invest in the smaller "twister" jar. This blender is LOUD--to be expected. It's only for a minute or two. One of the great features is how easy it is to clean compared to old fashioned blenders. Just add a couples inches of water, a couple drops of dish soap and hit the clean button, rinse, and dry. Another selling point: the warranty on the Blendtec motor is unbeatable.

Awesome Blender!
A friend bought this blender some time ago and I had an opportunity to use it. My own blender had been a gift from another friend and it was pathetic compared to the Blendtec. I hesitated to spend the money to buy the Blendtec but eventually I took the leap. I have NO regrets. Granted, I use it exclusively for smoothies, but it produces a drink that tastes like a milk shake it is so smooth. I used my friend's Blendtec recently and noted she is close to 5,000 smoothies. The Wildside jar has tough blades that clearly last a long time. She often blends frozen fruit without any problem. I'm delighted.

Broke after 3rd use
First smoothie the machine moved a lot until chunks blended, even the canister seemed like it would come off but didn't. I wrote this off to the powerful motor. 2nd smoothie was good, 3rd smoothie was a simple pumpkin smoothie. Only thing hard was a cup of crushed ice and half way through the time it sparked and smelled like it was on fire. Scared the crap out of me. I was shaking even after it had been carried outside. The house smelled like burning wires for a long time before I got it aired out. Really not happy for the price. I figured with a factory refurbished they would have made sure everything was working properly to last longer than 2 uses. I don't even want to try another. I'll find another brand

Second rate design, and quality with an inflated price.
Design: Dull blade means this blender can't blend the pitted dates in my smoothie. I'm supposed to mix the dates with a small amount of water and blend separately. (Blendtec recommendation.) Dull blade means this blender throws food willy nilly against the side of the jar. When making nut butters, you have to stop blending and scrape the nut particles into the blades 15 or 20 times per batch. A sharp edge between the base, and the jar support, makes cleanup quite difficult. The Wildside jar doesn't form a vortex as in a Vitamix jar. So my Blendtec smoothies have a small amount of extra air. But the dull blade does make for easier cleanup of the jar. And, because the jar is shorter and wider than Vitamix there is less need for tamping, or shaking the jar to make blending happen. Ironically Blendtec payed a 24 million dollar fine to Vitamix because they stole the ridiculous Wildside jar design. My jar deposits a small haze of bearing lubricant on the base every day since I first received my Blendtec. Now, after 2 1/2 years of use I can smell the grease, and failure is imminent. When I purchased my blender it had an 8 year warranty. Now it has a 2 year warranty. Will Blendtec honor my warranty? I don't know, they are only open Monday thru Friday. Blendtec did honor my 8 year warranty and sent me a new jar. This jar also deposits a very faint haze of bearing lubricant, so I'm expecting this jar to fail in 3 or so years. Also, I bought this blender for twotwentynine with an 8 year warranty, You shouldn't buy it for threeninetyeight with only a 2 year warranty.

Fantastic blender!
I sincerely like this one better than my Vitamix. So much easier to clean and to get all the food out when finished blending. Blendtech also throws in the curved scraper for free, unlike Vitamix who charges a ridiculous amount for their scraping gadget. I'm a Blendtech convert.
